Established in 2003, Amrita School of Arts and Sciences (ASAS), Amritapuri is based in Kollam, Kerala. A constituent institute of the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, this school received the Excellence Award by the Kerala State Pollution Control Board for implementing best practices in controlling air and water pollution.

ASAS Amritapuri campus has been accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with Grade A and has been recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). This school offers academics programmes at undergraduate, integrated and postgraduate level in Journalism and Mass Communication, Business Studies, Commerce, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, Media Studies and Fine Arts. These courses are managed by six integral departments across different streams namely Commerce and Management, Chemistry, English, Physics, Mathematics and Social Work.

ASAS admission process for all the courses is completed through the official college website. Students need to visit the online portal to fill the form for their choice of course. Admission to its UG and PG courses is subject to the following conditions:

• BBA, BCom, Integrated MSc and Integrated MA: Admission to these courses is granted basis a candidate’s qualifying score in the previous examination i.e. Class 12
• MSc, MA, MSW: Candidates who have completed graduation in the relevant stream from a recognised university can apply for admission to these courses
• MPhil: Students with a postgraduate degree in the relevant discipline stand eligible for admission to this course; shortlisted candidates are also required to appear for a Personal Interview round conducted at the campus

Amrita School of Arts and Sciences courses are offered at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level. UG-level courses like BBA and BCom are of three-year duration, whereas Integrated MA and MSc programmes are of five-year duration. PG courses like MSc (three specialisations), MA (English Language and Literature), MCom, and MSW programmes are of two years’ duration.
