Baba Farid Group of Institutions was established in the year 1993. It has ranked 7 out of 100 E-Governance campus and accredited “A” grade by the NAAC. It is located on Bathinda Mukstar Road. It provides global internships collaborated with the AIESEC. It also provides the wi-fi, library, hostels, cafeteria, gym, court/grounds for indoor/outdoor games, well-equipped laboratories, banking and ambulance services. In addition to this, it recorded 100% placements and offers scholarships worth Rs 3 crore.

It has international associations with Thompson River University, University of Fraser Valley, University of British Columbia, University of Oslo, IIT Bombay Resource Centre, IIT Delhi Nodal Centre, Central University of Punjab etc.  It has five institutes under it namely College of Engineering & Technology, College of Management & Technology, Baba Farid College, Baba Farid College of Education and Baba Farid Sr. Sec. School.

Baba Farid Group of Institution offers 17 UG and 20 PG courses. The duration of MA and MCom is two years, BCom is 3 years and BTech is four years. These all courses are affiliated to Punjabi University, Patiala.

It also offers PGDCA of one-year duration. It also provides international trainings, guest lectures as a part of course curriculum.

Baba Farid Group of Institution admission process for various courses is totally based on the previous degree/class passed except BTech and MTech which are as below=

• Admission to BTech is based on a valid score in JEE Main
• Admission to ME/MTech is based on a valid score in GATE

It has global international collaboration with AIESEC. The highest package was recorded at  Rs. 15 lakh per annum during Baba Farid Group of Institution placements. So far, there are over 850 recruiters with more than 9,500 placements. Some of the recurring companies are Infosys,  Wipro, HDFC Bank, AXIS Bank etc. It is associated with renowned bodies like Indo Swiss Training Centre, Central University [PB], NITTTR [National Institute Of Technical Teacher Training, NSDC [National Skills Development Corporation, AMCAT,NTTF etc.
