For admissions to BTech programmes at CIT Ranchi, aspirants should have obtained 45% (General Category) and 40% (Reserved Category) in PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics).

CIT Ranchi Admission and Selection Process 2018

BTech admissions at CIT is done on the basis of JCECE and JEE Main scores and ranks.

• JCECEB: Aspirants who have appeared, cleared and secured a good rank in JCECE will be able to opt for CIT during the counselling process.
• JEE Main: After JCECE counselling, a merit list will be published on the basis of ranks secured by students in JEE Main.
• Intermediate/10+2 Percentage: After filling the seats on the basis of JCECE and JEE Main, the remaining seats will be filled on the basis of marks obtained at 10+2/Intermediate. Such students may fill up application form directly in the institute & their selection will be made on merit.

CIT Ranchi Application Process 2018

• Aspirants can fill the application form on the institute’s official website.
• The successfully filled in application form, the registration fee of Rs. 1,050/- needs to be paid.
• The application fee can be paid in the following ways debit / credit cards, Net Banking or DD.
• In case of a DD, before filling up the registration form, students need to get a Demand Draft issued for Rs. 1,050/- in favour of “Cambridge Institute of Technology” payable at Ranchi. After filling up the registration form, aspirants will be required to enter Demand Draft details in column mentioned.
• Aspirants are required to post the completely filled in application form along with the DD(with the name, mobile number written on the back) to:

The institute offers the following scholarships to its students:

• E Kalyan: This scholarship is by the Welfare Department which has various scholarship schemes for the welfare of the backward classes and the SC/ST.
• Pragati: This scholarship will be offered for advancement of girl participation in technical education. Pragati is a scholarship scheme by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India in association with AICTE.
• Saksham: Under this scheme, needy and meritorious students will be offered scholarship of Rs 5 Cr per annum as tuition fees to pursue Technical education in AICTE approved Institutions.
