Having been established in 2001, Coimbatore Marine College (CMC) is an educational institution for Maritime courses. Located in Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu, the college is approved by the Director General of Shipping, Government of India and affiliated to Indian Maritime University. The college has been awarded with A1 Grade in CUP by Indian Registry of Shipping and offers undergraduate courses in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science; BBA and MBA in Logistics and Shipping; and diploma and certification courses in Hospitality management, etc. In addition to this college, CMC has three other institutions across the country. These include Mangalore Marine College at Karnataka, CMC international schools at Coimbatore and CMC Maritime Academy at Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

The campus is designed like a ship called T.S Clarissa, a real-time model. There are nearly 90 faculty members with years of experience to provide quality education. Theoretical and practical training classes at the college are provided by Captains and Chief Engineers. Physical training, such as swimming and boating, are also available for the students. Classrooms are designed with modern teaching equipment such as LCD projector for good understanding. Library consists of more collections of Marine and Engineering books, magazines and publications. Well-equipped computer lab, marine lab for practical training, Engineering-related laboratories and workshops are also available. Hostel facility is provided for both male and female students.
