Located in Dehradun, Dev Bhoomi Group of Institutions (DBGI) is a group of six schools functioning in distinct fields of Engineering, Management, Health Sciences and many more. DBGI was established in 2005 as an Engineering institute with the name of Dev Bhoomi Institute of Technology (DBIT). Also, DBGI is a non-profit, self-governed group of institutes, which focuses on new age academic models that are in keeping with industry trends. DBGI accepts admission applications for its UG and PG programmes in two modes, including online and walk-in registration. Seat reservations offered at the institute are as per the regulations of the Government of Uttarakhand. For UG courses:

• For BTech admission, candidates must have a valid score in JEE Main/ UKSEE/ state-government recognised engineering entrance exam
• For BTech lateral entry admission, candidates are selected based on their aggregate in Class 12
• Candidates must have a valid score in NATA for seeking BArch admission
• Candidates with a valid score in UBTER JEEP are allowed to seek admission in any of the diploma courses
• Candidates seeking admission to BAMS should have qualified Pre-Medical Entrance Exam or CPMEE
• Admission to remaining UG courses is based on aggregate obtained by eligible candidates in Class 12

For PG courses:

• Candidates need to have a valid score in GATE for MTech admission
• For MBA programme, candidates willing to seek admission are evaluated based on their work experience and CAT/ MAT/ XAT score, followed by a GD and PI round
• Admission to MPharm programme is based on GPAT score
• Candidates willing to seek MCA admission are evaluated based on written test, GD and PI rounds conducted by the institute itself
• For remaining PG courses, admission is based on merit of course-specific last qualifying degree exam

DBIT: DBIT offers four courses in various streams, including Engineering, Business & Management Studies and IT & Software. These courses are BTech, MTech, MBA and MCA. The details of its flagship course is given below:

DBSAD: DBSAD offers two courses at UG level, including BArch and BDes. The institute provides its students with a well-balanced combination of theoretical and practical knowledge through its top architecture and design courses. The details regarding its flagship course is listed below:

DBIP: The institute offers UG diploma programmes in five specialisations in both regular and lateral entry mode. The regular entry courses are of three-year duration while for those opting for lateral entry, the course duration reduces to two years. DBIMS: DBIMS provides a blend of diverse courses, including BBA, BCA, BCom and BSc. It also provides degrees in professional courses like Fashion Designing, Journalism and Mass Communication, Tourism, Hospital Administration, and Hotel Management.

DBMCAH: DBMCAH provides a programme, namely BAMS, which is approved by the Central Council of Indian Medicine, Ministry of AYUSH, and affiliated to Uttarakhand Ayurveda University. The institute, along with providing academic support, also offers on-campus hospital service, the institute also extends its medical services to off-campus DBMCAH clinics.

DBIPR: It provides BPharm, MPharm and DPharm with course-specific relevance and best training environment for students.

DBGI has an active placement cell which is well-structured and comprises senior members of the institute and student volunteers. It centrally manages the placement facilities of all its institutes. The primary responsibility of the placement cell is to provide an informative training programme, sustainable job opportunities and internship opportunities to the students. The institute conducts frequent placement drives for the final year students to be placed in top-notch companies.

Strong placements year-after-year have led to a strong DBGI alumni network all over the world. Their presence in leading positions across industries and DBGI's own academic collaborations are leveraged to give students solid career platforms. DBGI also has a Corporate Resource Center (CRC) that works tirelessly to help students find placements with top Indian and multinational firms. It also facilitates placement opportunities for students from other institutes.

To be eligible for placements, a student must have a minimum of 75 per cent attendance in academics and 80 per cent or above in training classes, every semester. However, the institute allows three provisions for the students so that each one of them has at least one job offer, including on-campus, off-campus and in-company placements. DBGI scholarships are provided through an online registration process. Scholarships 2020 assistance has been initiated by Dev Bhoomi Group of Institutes for students’ educational and personal development. These scholarships are categorised under three indices as listed below:

• Academic Scholarships

Academic Scholarship worth Rs 8 crores is awarded to the most deserving students who have enroled themselves in any of the DBGI courses before 15 May 2020. Such candidates also need to have a high aggregate in Class 12.

• Uttarakhand Domicile Scholarships

This scholarship is awarded to the students who hail from Uttarakhand. It is in the form of the 100 per cent fee waiver of the first year’s tuition fee.

• COVID Warriors Scholarships

This scholarship is for the wards of Covid-19 health workers, police and army personnel and sanitisation workers. Such students are entitled to a scholarship benefit worth Rs 3 crores in the form of tuition fee waiver, provided they have enrolled in any of the DBGI courses before May 30, 2020.
