Established in 2001, Dr GY Pathrikar College of Computer Science and IT is an integral part of Mahatma Gandhi Mission Trust (MGM Trust). MGM Trust is a chain of eight Schools, including Engineering, Architecture, Medical, Nursing, Management, Computer Science & IT, Bioinformatics & Biotechnology, Fine Arts and Journalism. The institute is located in Aurangabad and is ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015 Certified. It is also NAAC accredited with Grade ‘A’. The institute was founded with a vision to provide qualitative education by applying innovative and dynamic pedagogical techniques in the fields of IT & Software and Science. Since its inception, the institute has focused on providing higher education with dedication and commitment. Currently, there are a total of 48 faculty members and 1033 students as a part of this institute.

• Candidates willing to seek admission in BSc, Integrated MSc or BCA programme are evaluated based on their aggregate in Class 12
• Admission to MSc programme is based on their performance in previous qualifying graduation degree

The institute offers several courses, including BSc, Integrated MSc, BCA and MSc. All these courses are offered in a full-time mode across various specialisations. The BSc and BCA programme are of three-year duration, spread across six semesters while Integrated MSc is a five-year programme, comprising ten semesters. The MSc programme offered at the institute is for two years, consisting of four semesters. The details regarding same is listed below:

The institute has an active placement cell which is aimed at providing professional training and placement opportunities to the students. In 2019, 52 students were placed in companies, including Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Mphasis, IBM, Syntel, etc. Infosys was the star recruiter of 2019 batch as it recruited 28 students. The average salary of the batch was between Rs 1.8-2.5 LPA.
