G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology & Sciences (GNITS) is located in Hyderabad and was founded by the late Sri G. Pulla Reddy Guru with an ambition to promote Engineering education in women in 1997.

GNITS is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU-H), Hyderabad. For 10 years from 2018 GNITS is affiliated with JNTU-H (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University), Hyderabad and received UGC autonomous status for 10 years from 2018. 

GNITS-NPTEL Local Chapter was ranked 47th with an ‘AA’ Rating. It has been awarded the ‘’National Employability Award’’ continuously 3 times in a row from 2017 to 2019 for being among the top colleges in the State from AMCAT. GNITS offers eight undergraduate courses and five postgraduate courses.

The library has a duplex space of 15,000 sq. ft. with a seating capacity of 250 students. The resources are bifurcated between the ground floor for BTech and the first floor for MTech students. It has independent spaces for different sections like newspapers, journals and magazines, e-resources, discussion rooms, etc. The college library has a subscription to many journals to help assist its students and staff both technically and general. The total number of international journals are 22 whereas the number of national journal % magazines are 108. The count of online journals is much more i.e. 6,206. The college has a separate lab or called Internet Centre with 40 systems which are equipped with a 200 Mbps leased line.

GNITS offers 13 courses across two streams which includes eight undergraduate courses and five postgraduate courses. The undergraduate courses include all BTech courses whereas post-graduation courses include all the MTech courses. The duration of BTech courses are four years and the same for MTech courses are two years.

Apart from all these, they also offer lateral entry across all specialisation for diploma students who want to get admission into BTech.

The aspirants seeking admission in GNITS are required to qualify for entrance examination which is being conducted by the Government of Telangana.

UG courses

• Admission in BTech is being given on the basis of rank secured in TS-EAMCET (Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test) which is being conducted by JNTUH
• The preference will be given to JEE rank holders during counselling

PG courses

• For admission in MTech courses, candidates have to appear for GATE
• Candidates can also get admission on the basis of their TS-PGECET score
• GATE qualified candidates are given preference

GNITS Placements

GNITS believes that apart from providing excellent education, personal and career-oriented support is very important for students. The college provides an extensive training programme of around 100 hours after the pre-final year exams during a vacation to help prepare students for the recruitment process.

GNITS Scholarships 2021

The GNITS does not provide any stipend or scholarship to any student. But, if the stipend or scholarship is being sanctioned by the Government of India/ AICTE, then the same will be given to the respective eligible candidates. In case of the sanctioned scholarships are less than the total number of non-sponsored GATE qualified candidates, the scholarships in such cases are being distributed according to the merit in GATE. No stipend or scholarship for the Category- B candidates.
