Founded in 2001, Hyderabad Institute of Technology and Management (HITAM) is located in Hyderabad, Telangana and was formerly known as Royal College of Engineering. It is a private institute which is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The institute is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

HITAM is the first campus in India that was certified as a 'Silver Rated Green Building' under the category of educational institutions by LEEDS, US Green Building Council. It was rated the first ISO-certified institution among all JNTU colleges. It imparts education through its five departments, namely Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering (ECE) and Science & Humanities.

HITAM admission process 2020 can be done though both online and offline modes. Candidates seeking admission to HITAM BTech programme are required to apply through the official website of the institute. HITAM admission process 2020 for BTech programme is listed below:

• Admission to 70 per cent of the seats of BTech is based on a valid score obtained in TS Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University
• The remaining 30 per cent seats are filled through management quota for HITAM BTech programme

HITAM offers BTech programme in nine specialisations with a course duration of four years each in the field of Engineering. An overview of BTech programme offered at HITAM along with its eligibility criteria and fees is provided in the table below:

HITAM has a Career Development Cell (CDC) which works closely with the students and prepare them for the corporate life. It also conducts several job fairs, internships, placements and co-curricular trainings so that the students can get the appropriate exposure and become industry-ready. Over 92 organisations participated in HITAM placements 2021 session. The highest package offered was Rs 11 LPA by Wiley-MThree.

HITAM offers many ‘Incoming FRESHMAN Scholarships’ to the deserving students on the basis of merit, sports, arts, etc., and the eligible students will be selected after a thorough scrutiny of their application forms by the scholarship recommendation committee of HITAM.

 To apply for the same, students need to fill the application form and submit it with all the relevant documents, highlighting their unique achievements. Some of them are listed below:

• Rank holders below 5,000 ranks in EAMCET are eligible for 100 per cent fee waiver on tuition fee
• Rank holders between 5,000 to 10,000 ranks in EAMCET are eligible for 50 per cent fee waiver on tuition fee
• National level winners/ participants in academic competitions like Mathematics Olympiad, Science Olympiad, National Science fair or exhibitions (winners shall be given more weightage)
• State level winners/ participants in academic competitions like Mathematics Olympiad, Science Olympiad, National Science fair or exhibitions (winners shall be given more weightage)
• State level winners/ participants in sports (winners shall be given more weightage)
