Mahatma Gandhi Mission Institute of Biosciences and Technology (MGM-IBT) is located in Aurangabad and is well established in the field of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics. It is a constituent institute of MGM University, Aurangabad and is promoted by the Mahatma Gandhi Trust, which was founded in 1983. The institute is accredited by the NAAC 'B' Grade, approved by the UGC and is ISO-Certified. Currently, the institute offers BSc (Hons) and MSc programmes in affiliation with MGM University.

For the registration process, eligible candidates need to fill an application form through the official website of the institute. Alternatively, the application form can also be bought from the office of the institute by paying an amount of Rs 1,000 as the application fee. Admission to BSc (Hons) and MSc programmes is entirely based on a candidate’s merit obtained in the last qualifying/ degree exams.

BSc (Hons) is a four-year programme whereas MSc is offered for a duration of two years. Both the courses are available in full-time and part-time modes.
