For BTech

The college offers both government and management seats to the candidates. The eligibility for both the seats differ from each other.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech via Government Quota

• Candidates must be citizens of India.• Candidates should have finished 17 years of age by the end of the year they are taking admission.• Candidates should pass HSC education from the Board of Higher Secondary Education of Kerala or an exam recognised equivalent thereto with at least 50% marks in mathematics separately. and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics equivalent subjects put together or equivalent grade.• For candidates belonging to SEBC category with an overall annual family income not more than 6 lacs, relaxation of 5% in qualifying marks is permitted. For SC/ST candidates, passing in the exam is sufficient• Rounding off of the percentage of marks to the next higher whole number is not allowed.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech via Management Quota

• Admission is strictly based on merit.• Candidates must be citizens of India/persons of Indian origin (PIO)/ overseas citizen of India (OCI). PIO/OCI candidates will not be eligible for any reservation.• The candidates should have finished 17 years of age by the end of the year they are taking admission.• Should pass HSC exams of the Board of Higher Secondary Education of Kerala or an exam recognised equivalent thereto with at least 50% marks in mathematics separately and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics /equivalent subjects or equivalent grade.• Round off of the percentage to the next higher whole number is not allowed.• Only those candidates who qualify in KEAM 2018 which is conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Govt. of Kerala are eligible (They should have scored a minimum of 10 marks each Paper I & Paper II)

Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme

Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme approved by AICTE is implemented in this college. According to it, the candidates with high academic results who are from economically backward families are granted a full tuition fee concession.5% seats of total seats will be filled under Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme over and above the pre-sanctioned intake. The above-mentioned seats will be filled up by the allotment of Commissioner for Entrance Exams.

For MTech

Eligibility Criteria for MTech (both via management & government quota)

• Admission is strictly based on merit.• The candidates shall be Indian Nationals.• The candidates should have studied graduation course in an institution approved by the AICTE / Deemed to be universities in India approved by the UGC.• Candidates should have a minimum of 60% aggregate in the engineering degree. For SC/ST category candidates, a pass in the engineering degree is sufficient. For SEBC (OBC) category students, a minimum of 54% aggregate in the engineering degree exams is compulsory.• Candidates who have passed AMIE / AMIETE and satisfying all the conditions are eligible for admission.• Candidates must have a valid GATE score.• A minimum of 55% for section B in AMIE/AMIETE exam.• Candidates who have appeared for the final semester exams can also apply, provided he / she has passed all the subjects including the 6th semester exams. Confirmation of admissions of such applicants is subjected to the production of qualifying degree before the date specified by APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.• First priority for admission will be given to those with a valid GATE score.• In case, the seats are left vacant due to lack of students with a valid GATE score, students from Kerala state without a valid GATE score will be considered for such vacancies. If seats are still vacant, candidates from other states will be considered for admission.• Admission to the govt quota will be done by the college from the rank list published by DTE, Kerala. The candidates have to apply to the college in the prescribed application form even if the candidate seek admission via government seats. Candidates who look forward to admission in government seats are advised to apply to DTE website to find a place in the rank list made by DTE.
