Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science (also known as KITS) is an autonomous college in Warangal, Telangana, established in 1980. It is affiliated with Kakatiya University, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, and accredited with Grade “A” by the NAAC and NBA. The college offers 9 undergraduate programmes, 10 postgraduate programmes and 5 PhD programmes.

It is the first institute in the country to offer BTech in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. It was ranked in the 201-250 rank band in 2020 by NIRF, MHRD. In a recent AICTE-CII Survey of Industry, it was ranked as a Gold category institution.

The college campus is Wi-Fi enabled with an OFC connection of 40 Mbps internet bandwidth and spread in 65 acre of land with a lush green atmosphere. It has in campus boys' and girls' hostels with internet-enabled LAN connectivity and with an accommodation capacity of 750 students. The library is well stocked with various textbooks, journals, magazines, articles, and a newspaper facility. Other facilities include well-equipped state-of-art laboratories, stadium, lecture theatres, auditorium, canteen, computer lab, gym, etc.

Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science Admission Process 2021

Admission to the college is a completely online process, starting from filling up an online application form to allotment of seat to the college. It is done through counselling rounds based on rank obtained in the entrance exam. Candidates need to fill up the application form online and pay a registration fee of Rs 2,000.

The course-wise admission process for KITS College is mentioned below:

BTech

• Admission to all the courses of BTech is based on marks obtained in EAMCET. Candidates need to appear and qualify EAMCET exam and based on marks obtained in the exam college is allotted. There are several rounds for the counselling and as the seat is allotted to the candidates, they have to report to the allotted college.
• If seats remain vacant then admissions are done based on marks obtained in JEE Main exam.

MTech

• Admission to MTech programme is done based on marks obtained in PGECET or GATE exam. Candidates who have a valid score card in TANCET or GATE exam are eligible for admissions in MTech programme.
