Established in 1835, Madras Medical College is an educational institute located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Madras Medical College was started in 1664 as a small hospital that was treating the sick soldiers of the East India Company. The institute is the third oldest medical college in India established after Ecole de Médecine de Pondichéry and Medical College, Kolkata. The college is affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and is approved by the Medical Council of India. MMC Chennai is ranked 16 for Medical by NIRF 2021. The modes of Madras Medical College admission 2022 are online and offline. Admission to various courses depends on the entrance examination. Those who qualify the examination are called for counselling process of NEET. At the UG level, the college offers five and half-year MBBS and four-year BPharm, BSc, and BPT courses. At the PG level, the college provides three-year MD and MS courses and the college offers PG diploma courses in several specialisations. The duration for PG diploma courses is two-year. The college offers MCh and DM courses in various disciplines as super-specialty courses, the duration for which is three-year.
