Established in 1997, NIFT Bengaluru is one of the top colleges in India to pursue a course related to Fashion Technology. It is an autonomous government institute and has been ranked 2 for Fashion Design by The Week 2020 and India Today 2020 rankings. Admission to UG and PG courses is based on marks scored in NIFT Entrance Exam. NIFT Entrance Exam is divided into three parts i.e. Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT) and Situation Test/Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD and PI) round.   • Candidates planning to pursue BDes are required to appear for CAT and GAT exam followed by the Situation Test
  • For admission to B.F.Tech, a valid score in GAT exam is required

  • Admission to MDes programme is based on marks scored in CAT and GAT exam followed by the Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD and PI) round conducted by NIFT

NIFT offers BDes in five specialisations. The duration of this course is four years. The total seat intake for BDes programme is 30. Students are accepted to BDes programme based on merit. Candidates are required to appear for NIFT Entrance Exam. The detailed eligibility criteria is mentioned below: 

The Institute offers four years full-time B.F.Tech in Apparel Technology. Admission process for this course includes the General Ability Test (GAT), it is a part of the NIFT Entrance Exam. The total seat intake for this programme is 30. The detailed eligibility criteria is mentioned below:

NIFT Bengaluru offers MFT, MFM and MDes at PG level. The basic eligibility criteria to pursue these courses is graduation.

NIFT Bangalore offers MFT, MFM and MDes at PG level. The duration of all these programmes is two years. Candidates are selected for any of these PG programmes based on merit. It is important for the candidates to perform well in CAT, GAT, and GD and PI round for getting the final admission offer. The detailed eligibility criteria is mentioned below: 

Candidates can fill the application form for UG and PG programmes in the online mode. For continuing education programmes, candidates can fill the application form in the online and offline modes. Applicants are also required to pay an application fee for UG and PG courses of Rs 2,000 (General category) and Rs 1,000 (reserved category). The stepwise application process is mentioned below:

Step 3: Create login credentials.

Step 4: Fill in the required details including, educational details, personal information and residential details.
