Established in 1999, NIFT Hyderabad is one of the best institutes in India to pursue a course related to Fashin Technology field. It has been ranked 5 for Fashion Design by The Week 2020 and 6 for Fashion Design by India Today 2020 rankings. NIFT Hyderabad offers BDes, B.FTech and MFM in various specialisations. The Institute also allows students to customise their course by providing them with options, including Majors, Deepening Specialisations and Career Pathways. NIFT Hyderabad admission process for UG and PG courses starts in May every year. Candidates can apply for admission to the course of their choice in online mode. Admission to UG and PG courses is based on marks scored in NIFT Entrance Exam. NIFT Entrance Exam is divided into three parts i.e. Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT) and Situation Test/Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD and PI) round. Mentioned below are some of the fast facts related to NIFT admission process:

• UG Courses
  • Candidates planning to pursue BDes are required to appear for CAT and GAT exam followed by the Situation Test
  • For admission to B.F.Tech, a valid score in GAT exam is required
• PG Courses
  • Students are selected for MFM programme based on their performance in GAT exam followed by the GD and PI round conducted by the Institute

The Institute offers BDes and B.F.Tech at UG level. The basic eligibility criteria to pursue any of these courses is Class 12.

NIFT offers BDes in five specialisations. The duration of this course is four years. The total seat intake for BDes programme is 210. Students are accepted to BDes programme based on merit. Candidates are required to appear for NIFT Entrance Exam. The detailed eligibility criteria is mentioned below: 

The Institute offers four years full-time B.F.Tech in Apparel Technology. Candidates are selected for this programme based on their performance in General Ability Test (GAT), it is a part of the NIFT Entrance Exam. The total seat intake for this programme is 42. The detailed eligibility criteria is mentioned below:

NIFT Hyderabad offers MFM programme at PG level. The basic eligibility criteria to pursue this course is graduation.

NIFT Hyderabad offers full-time MFM programme. The duration of this programme is two years. Candidates are selected for MFM programme based on merit. Candidates will get the final admission offer based on their performance in CAT, GAT, and GD and PI round. The total seat intake for this course is 42. The detailed eligibility criteria is mentioned below: 

Candidates can fill the application form for UG and PG programmes offered by NIFT Hyderabad in the online mode. For Continuing Education (CE) programme, candidates can fill the application form in the online and offline modes. They are also required to pay an application fee for UG and PG courses of Rs 2,000 (General category) and Rs 1,000 (reserved category). The stepwise application process is mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the official website (www.nift.ac.in).

Step 2: Click on the "Admission" tab.

Step 3: Create login credentials.

Step 4: Fill in the required details including, educational details, personal information and residential details.

Step 5: Submit the application form.

Step 6: Take a printout of your application form for future reference.

• Class 10 mark sheet and passing certificate
• Class 12 mark sheet and passing certificate
• Caste/Tribe/Class certificate (for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates) 
• Disability certificate for persons with disabilities
