What's new with the NIFT Jodhpur? National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Jodhpur 2022 placements schedule has been released. NIFT placements 1st Phase shall be taking place from April 25, 2022 to May 7, 2022 in an online mode for both UG & PG. The 2nd Phase of the placements will be taking place from June 1, 2022, to June 9, 2022, in an online/offline mode for both UG & PG. 

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Jodhpur is a government institute that was established in 2010. It offers BDes and BFTech at UG level, MFM at PG level and Continuing Education Programme (CEP)/ Diploma Programmes in various specialisations across Design and Technology streams. 

Currently, NIFT has 18 campuses spread across the country, namely NIFT Delhi, NIFT Bengaluru, NIFT Chennai, NIFT Gandhinagar, NIFT Hyderabad and NIFT Kolkata, among others. The admission is based on the national-level entrance examination conducted by NIFT called NIFT Entrance Exam. NIFT is known for its infrastructure and provides all basic facilities to students, including accommodation facilities, well-equipped labs, indoor sports facility, medical facilities and a resource centre.

Below mentioned are some of the key highlights regarding NIFT Jodhpur:

NIFT Jodhpur offers BDes and BFTech at UG level and MFM at PG level. The duration of UG programmes - BDes and BFTech offered by NIFT Jodhpur is four years. For PG programme - MFM, the duration is two years. Apart from UG and PG programmes, it also offers one Continuing Education Programmes (CEPs) of one-year duration. The seat intake for BDes is 44 each for Fashion Design, Accessory Design, Textile Design and Fashion Communication. The seat intake for BFTech is 45 and MFM is 45.

Notification for NIFT Jodhpur admissions is released in the month of October for degree courses and the written entrance exam for these programmes is conducted in January, every year. Students who clear the first round of admissions need to appear for the next stage of the shortlisting process that is conducted in April/ May. On the other hand, application forms for CE programmes are released in the month of May/ June followed by an interview round which is usually held in the month of August/ September. Candidates can apply for admission to these courses in online mode. But for CE programmes, students can submit the application form offline also. Admission to UG ad PG courses is based on merit. A valid score in the NIFT Entrance Exam is required to take admission in NIFT Jodhpur. NIFT Entrance Exam is divided into three parts, Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT) and Situation Test/ Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD and PI) round. Candidates are required to appear for CAT and GAT exams followed by the Situation Test for BDes admission. BFTech admission is based on marks scored in the GAT exam. Admission to MFM programme is based on a candidate's performance in the GAT exam followed by the GD and PI round conducted by the institute. For UG admissions candidates who are less than 24 years (General category) in age can apply. A relaxation of five years is given to the reserved category in the age limit. NIFT Jodhpur complies to the reservation policy set by the Government of India.

NIFT Jodhpur offers scholarships in terms of monetary assistance to deserving candidates. Currently, it offers two scholarships schemes, which are mentioned below:

Udaan-NIFT Scholarship Scheme for Foreign Studies: Under this scholarship, the students are offered allowance/ financial assistance depending on the country where they seek admission in design courses.

NIFT Sarthak: This scholarship waives off 50% to 100% of tuition fees of the students depending on their gross family income.
