New Law College, Pune, also known as Bharati Vidyapeeth New Law College, is a constituent college of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University (BVDU) Pune. The College is accredited with an “A+” Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). In 2020, it was ranked 9 for Law by India Today. It was also ranked 4 and 15 for Law by the Outlook and The Week, respectively, in 2019. At present, the College offers UG, PG, doctorate and diploma programmes in several specialisations of Law. The courses offered by the College are approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and the University Grants Commission (UGC). The College also arranges moot court competitions for its UG and PG students.

The University conducts LLB Entrance Test for admission to UG programmes. Below mentioned are the important New Law College, Pune exam dates:

At the UG level, the College offers two five-year integrated programmes, namely BA LLB and BBA LLB. The seat intake of BA LLB is 120 students, whereas BBA LLB has an intake of 180 students. The duration of both the programmes is divided into ten semesters. Admission to both the programmes is entrance-based, and candidates are selected based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam. Note: The maximum age limit for General category students is 20 years, whereas for SC/ ST and OBC students it is 22 years.

Bachelor of Law (LLB) is a full-time three-year programme offered by the College. It has a seat intake of 180 students. The entire duration of the programme is divided into six semesters, each year consisting of two semesters. The College follows a Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) under all its programmes. Candidates need to secure minimum required credits to pass a particular semester. Final selection of students is based on the entrance exam scores. Below mentioned is the eligibility criteria for the same:

At the PG level, the College offers Master of Law (LLM) programme. The College offers two LLM programmes with a duration of one year and two years each. The seat intake of both the programmes is 80 students each. One-year LLM is a trimester programme, the duration of each trimester is three months. On the other hand, two-year LLM is a semester programme, and consists a total of four semesters, the duration of each semester is six months. Admission to LLM is entrance-based. The College also offers a PhD programme in Law. PhD is offered with a minimum duration of three years and a maximum of six. Admission to PhD programme is conducted directly by BVDU Pune.
