Sri Dharmasthala College of Dental Science, also known as SDM College of Dental Science was founded in 1986 and is located in Dharwad in Karnataka. It is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka approved by Dental Council of India, Govt. of India.

SDM College of Dental Science offers courses in Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in 9 specialities of Dentistry.

• Candidates will be selected on the basis of National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET), with counselling done by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA)
• Candidates with Scheduled Cast/ Scheduled Tribe or any other category notified by the government will get 10% relaxation

• SDM College of Dental Science BDS is a full-time course and comes with four years duration
• Candidates need not less than 50% aggregate in Physics, Biology and Chemistry with English in the qualifying exam or other exams recognized as equivalent by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Bengaluru, Karnataka
• Candidate should have completed 17 years at the time of admission or should complete this age on 31st December of the year
• Candidates that have passed two-year Pre-University Examination of Karnataka Pre-University Board or equivalent from recognized board with English, Chemistry, Physics and Biology as an optional subject are eligible for the first-year admission

• Private seats- 55 seats (Linguistic Tulu Minority-36 seats), (General Merit-19 seats)

• The Government seats fees is Rs 54,450 per year plus university and students amenity fees for 4 years
• The Comed-K seats fees is Rs 4,71,900 per year plus university and students amenity fees for 4 years
• The IP/Management seats fees is Rs 6,00,000 per year for 4 years
• The NRI/PIO/OCI seats fees is $10000 per year for 4 years

• SDM College of Dental Science MDS course is a full-time course and is of three years duration
• Candidates must have BDS Degree from a College and University Recognized by Dental Council of India, New Delhi or equivalent Qualification Recognized by DCI
• Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of NEET and Centralized counselling of all the seats will be held by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) Government of Karnataka, Bangalore, based on NEET rank

UG/PG Application Process

For UG (BDS), Post-graduate Medical Admissions (MDS) SDM College of Dental Science, candidates must apply through NEET-UG and NEET MDS.

Application process for NEET-UG:

• Candidates are required to register online by registering on NEET UG official website
• Application fee can be paid both online and offline
• To apply online, candidates can pay through e-wallet, net-banking or debit/credit card
• For General and OBC category, the application fee is INR 1400 and INR 750 for ST/SC candidates

Application process for NEET-MDS:

• Candidates are required to register online via NEET-MDS
• Application fee needs to paid online via net-banking or debit/credit card
• For General/OBC category, the application fee is INR 3750 and INR 2750 for ST/SC candidates
