Saveetha Engineering College (SEC) offers over 30 degree and research programmes to its aspirants at the undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) levels. The programmes offered at SEC are in streams including Engineering and Business & Management Studies. Admission to each course at Saveetha Engineering College follows specific admission criteria. TNEA and TANCET is the official entrance exam conducted by this institute. The college offers BE and BTech programmes across multiple specialisations. Only Tamil Nadu candidates are eligible for admission. Admission is subject to merit and TNEA counselling. Shortlisted candidates are called for counselling where seats are allotted based on their merit. Lateral Entry to the engineering courses is also offered by the institute. For SC/ST, only passing marks in the qualifying examination are required for admissions.

The institute offers ME programme across multiple specialisations in both full time and part-time mode. The full-time course is of 2 years duration while the part-time ME course is of 3 years duration. The eligibility criteria for the same is mentioned below:

Saveetha Engineering College offers PhD programme across multiple specialisations. The selection to this course is based on the marks obtained in the qualifying exam which is either conducted by the institute or NET/ SLET

The application form for TNEA can be filled through on its official website. The application fee to be paid is INR 500 (general candidates) and INR 250 (reserved candidates).

The application form for TANCET can be obtained at its official website. Candidates have to first get registered and then fill the application form using login id and password obtained during registration. They have to pay INR 500 (INR 250 for SC /SCA /ST candidates) as the entrance fee.

Documents required:

• Duly attested photocopies of certificates for proof of qualification (10th standard or equivalent, HSC or equivalent, undergraduate & postgraduate mark sheets of all semesters and degree certificates)

• A brief one page write up on the Research topic chosen and duly signed by the Supervisor, Joint Supervisor (if any) and the candidate

The overall seat intake of PG programmes is approximately 300 students. For these courses, 35% of the total seats are filled as Government Quota seats and are filled by the Single Window Counseling conducted by Anna University and the remaining 65% of the seats are filled as Management Quota seats by the college on the merit basis.
