Established in the year 2004, Shambhunath Group of Institution is a group of institutions imparting quality education in the fields of engineering, management, pharmacy and technology. The first institution to be established under this group was the Shambhunath Institute of Engineering and Technology. This institution is affiliated with the notable Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University and has earned the approval of the AICTE. In the year 2006, the Shambhunath Institute of Pharmacy was established, and this institution is also associated with Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University.

In the year 2016, it earned the approval to initiate its law programme in the Shambhunath Institute of Law. Presently, SGI has seven institutions, including the Shambhunath College of Education, Shambhunath Industrial Training Institute and Shambhunath Institute of Pharmacy. 

Shambhunath Group of Institution Admission Process  

Candidates interested in applying in SGI need to meet the eligibility criteria for the different programmes. Candidates applying to the MTech programme need to present a valid GATE score or need to pass the FATE entrance examinations. Applicants applying to the DPharma course need to clear their 12th standard education from the science stream. In addition to this, aspirants applying to the BTech, MBA and BPharm (1st year) will get admissions through the UPSEE examination and can also get enrolment via the management quota. Candidates applying to the undergraduate law programme need to clear their 12th standard examinations. Apart from this, applicants need to be present in the counselling session conducted by SGI for further enrolment purposes.

Shambhunath Group of Institution Placements

The placement cell of the institution ensures that the students receive excellent job roles with notable corporations. Some of the well-known recruiters who participated in the placement drive are Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Daffodil, Piaggo and Religare.

This institution also has a Corporate Training and Recruitment Cell, which aims to provide a first-hand insight into the corporate world to the students. It focuses on enhancing the technological and professional skills of the students. It also guides students to increase their academic performance to meet the eligibility criteria. In the academic session of 2018-2019, several students earned placements with lucrative salary packages. Students received a salary package up to 3 LPA.

Shambhunath Group of Institution Scholarships 

Students can avail of the benefits of many scholarship opportunities offered by this institution. Candidates, who get a rank up to 25,000 in the UPSEE examination and score above 85% in their 12th standard, earn a 50% waiver on the tuition fee. Applicants, who score above 75% in their 12th examination and rank between 25,001 and 50,000 ranks in the UPSEE examination, receive 30% of tuition fee waiver. MBA candidates who rank up to 2500 receive a 50% tuition fee waiver. In addition to this, students enrolled in SGI Allahabad earn a scholarship based on their graduation marks and UPSEE rank.

Special Programmes  

Students can enrol in the ITI and diploma courses offered by this institution. The diploma course is provided in the field of pharmacy and has 60 seats available. The ITI courses are offered in various disciplines, including fitter, mechanic and electrician. These courses also have limited seats for admission.
