Established in 1999, Shri Shankaracharya Technical Campus is the first technical campus in India to be named after Adi Shri Shankaracharya. The college is situated in the Bhilai district of Chhattisgarh. The college is affiliated to the Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU) and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Initially, the college had a 240-student annual enrolment, but now it has grown to 570. Shri Shankaracharya Technical Campus offers 66 undergraduate and postgraduate courses across nine streams. The college regularly organises industrial visits and guest lectures by renowned personalities. TCS-iON qualifier, FACE Academy, Hiremee, iON coCubes, A&A, AmCAT, and eLITMUS are some of the companies that provide aptitude and attitude testing for training and assessment for employment.

The college has a total of 12 departments including Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering etc. The campus of the college is well equipped with all the basic facilities such as a central library, sports ground and a separate hostel for both boys and girls.

Shri Shankaracharya Technical Campus offers various courses at the UG and PG levels in the streams including Computer Applications, Management, and Engineering. The college offers diploma and lateral entry courses in several courses. A diploma from distance learning will not be considered for admission. The mode of application is online for all the courses.

• At UG level, the college offers BPharm, BCA, BVoc, BTech courses in various specialisations. The duration of BCA is five years, BVoc is three years, and of BTech and BPharm is four years.
• At PG level, the college offers MBA, MCA, MBBS, MTech, MPharm, MD courses. The duration of the MBA course is two years and the duration of the MCA course is three years.
• At Diploma level, the college offers UG diploma, after 10 diploma and DPharm programmes. The duration for UG Diploma and after 10 diploma is three years while the duration of DPharm is two years.

Shri Shankaracharya Technical Campus offers courses at the UG and PG levels in various specialisations. The application process is online for the courses but the admission process can be both online/ offline depending upon the course. The basic admission criteria include the entrance exam and merits obtained in the qualifying examination. The college provides some relaxation in the percentage level for SC/ST/ OBC and PWD category candidates. The college accepts different entrance exams for different courses provided by the college. The selection for diploma courses depends upon the qualifying exam and PPT examination. Almost 65% of seats are reserved for minority classes.

• On the basis of the JEE Main/ CG PET exam, eligible candidates are selected for the BTech programme
• For the MBBS programme, a candidate has to clear the NEET exam
• For the BPharm programme, a candidate has to clear the CG PPHT exam

• Admission to MTech is based on qualifying for the GATE exam
• For the MD programme, a candidate has to clear the NEET PG exam

Shri Shankaracharya Technical Campus Scholarships 2021

The Shri Shankaracharya Technical Campus scholarships are applicable for financially weak students. The college waives fees for the BTech course. The college provides a post-matric scholarship to SC/ST/SCA candidates belonging to a financially weak background with an income of less than Rs 2.5 lakh. The college provides fee relaxation to SC/ ST/OBC and PWD candidates. The Central and State Government provides scholarships to financially weak students. Students can also apply for education loans from the bank.
