St. Mary's Group of Institutions, Hyderabad was established in 1996 by visionary leader Rev. K.V.K Rao. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated to JNTU, JNTUK, OU, ANU & WBUT. The institute has ranked 9 in Andhra Pradesh by the Times of India 2019 and 17 in Telangana by the Times of India 2019.

With 18 years of academic excellence in technical education, St. Mary's Group of Institutions has a large student base of 17,000  from 28 states and 24 countries. The institute offers 33 various undergraduate and postgraduate courses including MTech, MCA, MBA, PGDM etc. across four streams. Along with Hyderabad, the group has institutions in Guntur, Kolkata and Prakasham. It has four colleges under it, namely St. Mary's Secondary School (H.S.), St. Mary’s English School, St. Mary's Arcadian School and St. Mary's College B.ED and Higher Studies, D.EL.ED.

It is the only group to admit around 300 International students who are pursuing various technical courses and over 500 students every year from different states of India. The campus  is spread across an area of 120 acre of land having open spaces like lawns, gardens and seating areas.. The institute offers  facilities such as a library, a cafeteria, sports complex, gym, auditorium, well-equipped labs and hostel facilities.

St. Mary's Group of Institutions offers courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level in various specialisations. It offers two courses at the UG level and four courses at the PG level. . It organises workshops for academic purposes and  releases the cut off for the admission process.

• At UG level, it offers BTech and BPharm courses. The duration for both the courses is four years each.
• At PG level, it offers MBA, MTech, MCA, and MPharm programmes. The duration for all the courses is two years each.

St. Mary's Group of Institutions offers various courses at UG and PG level. The admission is based on the counselling process after marks obtained in the entrance test for all the courses. The reserved category candidates  get some relaxation in marks on their respective courses. For International candidates, admission is based on merit.

The St. Mary's Group of Institutions scholarships are applicable to students qualified in entrance tests.  It provides loan facilities to financially weak students. The fees of Management quota students are slightly higher than qualified students in entrance tests. The state government provides scholarships to meritorious students.
