Amrut Mody School of Management, also known as AMSOM, was established in 2009, and is affiliated to Ahmedabad University. It is currently run by the Ahmedabad Education Society. It offers undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and executive programmes in Commerce and Management such as BBA (Hons), BCom (Hons), BCom Professional (Hons), MBA, MA (Economics) and PhD. It is the first MBA institute in Gujarat to have been accredited with ‘A’ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

The school offers a two-year full-time MBA programme, the curriculum of which combines interdisciplinary learning with analytical rigour. AMSOM's MBA programme has a uniquely crafted personalised Route Camp that provides a platform for students to translate theory into practice. • Candidates, who are willing to pursue Global Executive MBA in Pharmaceutical Management, will be awarded with an MBA degree from Ahmedabad University along with a certificate from the University of California, San Diego. The 22-month programme, divided into 28 modules, is meant for working professionals; and is spread over seven residencies with six residencies at Ahmedabad University and one at University of California, San Diego, USA.

• Candidates are admitted on the basis of their academic performance and overall intellectual engagement in Class 10, 11 and 12
• They are also assessed on their extracurricular achievements, personal statement, and a personal interaction with the faculty
• Candidates awaiting their Class 12 results can take provisional admission

PG Courses

• For MBA, candidates are offered admission basis the following examination CAT/XAT/ NMAT/CMAT/ SNAP/MATscorecard along with a Personal Interview (PI)
• Candidates who have scored 50% aggregate or equivalent across all semesters, and are awaiting their final year results can apply for provisional admission subject to submitting  a certificate from the college authorities
• Candidates are selected in the Global Executive MBA programme in Pharmaceutical Management based on the Aptitude Test conducted by the University, followed by Personal Interaction

The school offers need-based, name-based, and merit-based scholarships to students. • Merit-based: Candidates who are willing to pursue bachelor’s and an integrated master’s programmes after directly applying on the Ahmedabad University admissions website, until a stipulated date specified by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid, are eligible for the University Scholarship which includes 100% tuition fee waiver for a duration of four years.
• The University Scholarship (ACPC) for students admitted to the BTech programme through the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) set up by the Government of Gujarat entitles students to a full waiver of tuition fees for four years provided they are among first 500 ranks in the merit list prepared by ACPC.
• A tuition fee waiver of Rs. 1 lakh for first-year students enrolled in all UG programmes entitles students to a scholarship of Rs.1 lakh towards tuition fees in the first year.

Note: Students can renew University scholarships every year by maintaining a minimum CGPA of 3.50 at the end of the preceding academic years.

• Need-based (Tuition fee waiver 100%): Students with a total family income of less than rupees eight lakh are eligible to apply for need-based scholarships. Fees for students with financial aid will depend on the financial aid granted to them.

Note: Students need to maintain a CGPA of 2.0 for renewing their need-based scholarship.

• Name-based: The University also offers two name-based scholarships to UG students, namely BM Muley Scholarship Award in Economics, and Meera and Mohan Chandra Joshi Scholarship in Psychology.

• For MBA, students are entitled to need-based and merit-based scholarships with up to 50% of tuition fee waiver available upon submission of supporting documents along with the application form.
• For MA (Economics), students can avail merit-based scholarships in the first-year basis their overall performance in the admission process, while for the second year, merit scholarships are given based on the previous year’s academic performance. Moreover, students can also take up teaching assistantship to gain exposure in teaching and research as well as get additional financial support.
