Established in 2010, Crescent School of Architecture is one of the constituent schools of BS Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai. The school is approved by the Council of Architecture (CoA) and All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). At present, there are 58 teachers who are aimed at offering quality education to over 497 students in the fields of Architecture, Planning and Design.

The campus of the school is meticulously designed with well-equipped labs. These include design studios, climatology labs, computer labs, etc. Apart from this, the school has a material museum where the students are free to explore hundreds of different materials for their projects. Crescent School of Architecture also has a library with 2,000 volumes of books and journals and a model-making workshop equipped with cutting-edge technology.

Crescent School of Architecture Courses

Crescent School of Architecture offers three courses, including BArch, BDes (Interior Architecture) and an M.Arch programme at UG and PG level, respectively. The BArch programme is of five-year duration with an annual intake of 80 students. The course comprises 31 days of theory classes and 120 days of practical trainings. The programme is spread in a semester pattern and the final semester is entirely dedicated to the submission of thesis.

In addition to this, the school offers a four-year Bachelor of Interior Architecture (BDes) programme with an annual intake of 40 students per batch. It comprises 10 theory lectures, eight studio training sessions and 16 theory-cum-practical trainings for the students. At PG level, the school offers only one programme, namely M.Arch with an annual seat intake of 20 students per batch.
