KIIT School of Law was established in 2007 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The school is officially bywith the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and accredited by the NAAC with an ‘A’ grade. KIIT School of Law is ranked 12 for Law by NIRF 2020 and 22 for Law by India Today 2020. It is the country's first law school to implement the BCI's approved curriculum. KIIT School of Law is in association with the International Association of Law Schools, Washington, USA and Asia - Pacific Association of Law Schools, Australia.

KIIT School of Law is the first law school to provide a Bachelor’s of Law programme in six specialisations, including Crime & Criminology Law, Intellectual Property Law, Business Law, Constitutional Law, Taxation Law, International Law etc. The school has MOUs with Northumbria University, Miami University, and Dong-A University for academic collaborations and joint activities. The campus of the college is spread across an area of 29 acre featuring all the necessary facilities for its students such as a library, cafeteria, hostel, sports complex, gym, auditorium and a moot court for their law students.

KIIT School of Law offers courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. All the programmes offered by the college are offered in the stream of Law. KIIT School of Law is the only school that offers specialised honour courses. For the application process, candidates need to apply online through the official website of the college.

KIIT School of Law Admission Process 2021

KIIT School of Law offers UG, PG, and doctoral-level courses in the Law stream. Candidates who fulfil eligibility criteria are required to qualify for the entrance exam conducted by the college. Admissions will take place in the counselling-based rank obtained in the college entrance exam. For post-graduation courses, the candidate’s admission shall be based on the qualifying All India Admission Test. The college conducts counselling sessions and personal interviews for some programmes.

The KIIT School of Law scholarships are applicable for meritorious and financially weak students. The college provides Pradyumna Bal Memorial Scholarship for financially weak and meritorious students and provide full fee waiver for all the semester under this scholarship. The scholarship scheme covers college fees, hostel fees including books, mess and other ancillary expenses. The college provides Poverty-cum-Merit scholarship to financially weak students, the amount and period of scholarship is decided by the selection team. Also, it offers merit scholarships to university toppers from the first, second and third year of each semester for six months.

KIIT School of Law Minimum Eligibility Criteria for UG and PG Courses

For BA LLB, BSc LLB, BBA LLB

Candidates need to be 10+2 pass in any stream with at least 45% marks. For BSc LLB, candidates should have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) from science stream with at least 45% marks.

Age Criteria: Candidates should not have completed 21 years of age as on July for that academic year.

LLM – One Year Programme

Candidates must have passed BA LLB, BBA LLB, BSc LLB or BL degree or equivalent from a recognised university with at least 55% marks in aggregate.

KIIT School of Law Admission Process

For UG courses:

Interested candidates can apply online with the necessary information. Eligible candidates will be required to appear for the KIIT Entrance Exam (KIITEE). Admissions after that will take place through counseling based on the rank obtained in the KIITEE.

For PG courses:

Admissions to this course shall be done through an All India Admission Test which is conducted by the University every year. Candidates intending to secure admission in the said course should have an LLB degree from a recognised university and pass the All India Admission Test.

Application Form and Prospectus of the college is available online. It will not be offered in hard copy. Candidates need to apply online at http://www.kiitee.ac.in or http://www.kiit.ac.in or they can also the form from the official website.

The online application form will be accepted after the following steps are finished:-
