School of Design and Visual Arts is an on-campus constituent institute of Apeejay Stya University (ASU), located in Gurugram. It offers nearly 10 programmes in the field of Design and Visual Arts. These are industry-oriented programmes that are offered at UG as well as PG level with various specialisations. Admission to all the programmes is based on a candidate's performance in the entrance exam conducted by ASU, followed by a Personal Interview (PI) round.

The curriculum of the School of Design and Visual Arts is framed to produce competitive professional designers, artists, and design entrepreneurs with studio-based learning and continuous industry interface. The Institute has a number of MoUs & collaborations with leading foreign institutions/universities for students and faculty exchange, along with curriculum/research support. Some of these include the University of ULSTER, Georgia College of State University, ACCA and Normandy Business School among many others. The Institute also has several well-equipped labs and studios that facilitate the students to shape their creative ideas into reality.

BDes is a four-year programme and the Institute offers four specialisations in this UG course. Candidates, who wish to take admission to one of the BDes specialisations, must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with a minimum 50% aggregate from any recognised board. Admission to this course is accepted through an entrance exam conducted by ASU, followed by a PI round. The School of Design and Visual Arts, ASU offers an MA programme in Design. The selection process of the MA programme entails an entrance exam conducted by ASU, followed by a PI round. Candidates, who have completed graduation in any stream from a recognised university, with minimum 50% aggregate, are eligible to apply to any one of the four specialisations offered by the Institute. All the specialisations of the two-year MA programme are provided in the table below:

The application process of the Institute is available online as well as offline. The application fee for all the programmes is Rs 1,100. For online application, candidates are required to apply through ASU's official website (university.apeejay.edu). Click on 'Apply Online' and follow the below-mentioned steps to complete the application process:

1. On ASU's application portal, register with candidate's details such as name, email address, mobile number, etc.

2. Acknowledge the verification mail and sign in with the same credentials. Click on 'Apply Now' under 'Online Application Form' on the new page that opens up

6. Review the payment details and click on 'Make Payment'. Pay the application fee of Rs 1,116 (including handling charges) via debit card/ credit card/ net banking/ UPI

Note: Upon registration and payment of application fee, candidates will be intimated about the admission process on their respective email IDs

For offline application, candidates can download the application form from ASU's website, under the 'Admissions' tab. A duly filled in form should be submitted along with necessary documents and a Demand Draft of Rs 1,100 drawn in favour of “Apeejay Stya Education Foundation”, payable at New Delhi. In the case of an online application, the option to upload the documents comes after payment of application fee. However, when applying offline, candidates are required to hand over the self-attested photocopies of the documents in-person. All the necessary documents are listed below:

• Certificate of the last examination passed
• Medical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner
• Character certificate from the head of the institute last attended 
• Three passport-size photographs of the candidate
• Documentary proof of academic gap (if any)
