School of Law, UPES is a private school that was established in 2007 in Dehradun. It is one of the constituent schools of UPES and is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is accredited with a “B” grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Apart from the regular courses, it also offers faculty & student exchange, online modules, research collaboration and collaborative seminars in collaboration with The University of Law, UK. UPES is the first Indian University to partner with UK-based The University of Law for legal studies. The new curriculum framework at UPES, ABLE (Academic Blueprint for Learning Excellence) is holistic in its overall structure and yet focuses on the individual need of the student to discover, experience, explore and challenge. It also conducts additional activities, such as seminars, workshops, guest lectures, industrial visits, moot courts to give students industry exposure. Students can also get a chance to study abroad through UPES. Every year, UPES sends some students to the collaborated foreign universities for a duration of four weeks under the study abroad programme. It also offers several programmes in collaboration with top organisations, such as IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, Tata Power, Xebia, Infosys, Bosch, Cisco and more. At present, it facilitates from the main campus of UPES at Dehradun. At present, the School offers seven different programmes, namely BA LLB, BBA LLB, BCom LLB, BSc LLB, BTech, LLM and PhD under various specialisations. The School offers five UG programmes, namely BA LLB, BBA LLB, BCom LLB, BSc LLB and BTech. Admission to UG programmes is entrance-based. The duration of BTech programme is four years, whereas, the duration of other UG programmes is five years. LLM is the only programme offered at PG level. It has a course duration of one year and is offered in four different specialisations. Apart from these courses, it also offers a full-time or part-time PhD programme in Law with a minimum course duration of three years and a maximum of six.

Under BTech (CSE in Cyber Law), the scholarship is given based on the Class 10 and Class 12 percentile. A 50% tuition fee waiver will be given to the students who have secured an aggregate of 75% in Class 10 and Class 12.
Scholarship for BTech (Energy Technology in IPR Law) students:

Merit-Based Scholarship: Candidates who have secured an aggregate of 80% in Class 10 and Class 12 with PCM in CBSE/ ICSE / State Examination Board, will be awarded by the 50% tuition fee waiver in the first semester. Such scholarships will be limited to 10% of seats in each BTech specialisation.
Uttarakhand State Board Toppers Scholarship: Under this scholarship, 25% of tuition fee waiver will be given to boys and 35% to girl students under all specialisations. The scholarship will be given to one student per programme.
Scholarship for LLM students:
LLM students are awarded by a scholarship on the basis of their Class 10, Class 12 and graduation percentile. Candidates, who have secured an aggregate of 75% in Class 10, Class 12 and graduation, can get a tuition fee waiver of 50% for the first semester.
