SNS College of Engineering is a private engineering institution which is affiliated to Anna University Chennai. The college offers degree programmes majorly in engineering and technology. SNS College of Engineering BTech Admission and Application Process 2018

Since the college is affiliated to Anna University, the selection of candidates for admissions into the 4 year BTech programmes is made on the basis of TNEA Counselling. Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) is a single window process and admissions in Tamil Nadu engineering colleges are governed by Anna University every year for admission to undergraduate level engineering courses available at various engineering colleges of the state.

TNEA 2018 Admission Process

Candidates can apply for admissions through TNEA through the below mentioned modes:

• In person: Through 50 TNEA admission centres
• Postal: Only from Anna University, the Centre for Entrance Examinations and Admissions
• Internet: Though Anna University official website

Candidates have to submit their duly filled TNEA 2018 application form either in-person or by post along with photocopies of their mark sheets, age proof and copes of all relevant certificates at the address mentioned here before the due date: Secretary, TNEA, Anna University, Chennai.

TNEA 2018 Selection Process    

After normalising marks scored by candidates (across all boards), the final merit list followed by TNEA rank list is prepared on the following factors:

• Percentage of marks in Mathematics
• Percentage of marks in Physics
• Percentage of marks in Chemistry
• Percentage of marks in the 4th optional subject
• Date of Birth (elder candidates are given preference)
• TNEA rank list is published depending on the overall rank, community-wise and region-wise. 

TNEA 2018 Counselling Procedure

The counseling procedure for TNEA mostly commences in the third week of June. The entire TNEA counselling process is spread over five stages which are:

TNEA 2018 Application Process

• TNEA Application Form is available in online mode only. Candidates have to first opt for registration with personal and academic details.
• Candidates can now pay the application fee online via Net Banking/Debit Card/ Credit Card or through a demand draft drawn in favor of "The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions, Anna University".
• Candidates have to send the filled-in TNEA Application either in person or by post along with photocopies of mark sheet(s), proof of age and copies of all other relevant certificates to the Secretary, TNEA, Anna University, Chennai, on or before the last date.
• SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu desirous of availing registration fee concession should submit a photocopy of the Permanent Community Certificate Card or electronic form/digitally signed e-certificate.
• All the demand drafts should be drawn in favour of “The Secretary (TNEA), Anna University” payable at Chennai.
• Candidates shall enclose the following certificates along with the application:

• Enter your TNEA registration number as printed in the coding sheet correctly and legibly in all the enclosures.
• Encircle the code numbers wherever specified for the entries applicable.
• Tick the qualifying examination passed on the application cover.
• Enclose the relevant certificates wherever asked for along with the application. Submission of certificates at a later date shall not be accepted.
• Tick the Nativity, Qualifying Examination & Special Reservation and write the address on the application cover.
