In order to cater the ever-rising demand for Commerce education in India, Xavier University in Bhubaneswar established Xavier School of Commerce (XSOC) in 2014. One of the constituents of Xavier University, it offers UG, PG and doctoral level courses in the field of Commerce. The courses offered by XSOC include BBM (Hons), BCom (Hons), MBF and PhD.

XSOC admission process 2021 is completely online. Candidates seeking admission to this institute must visit the official website and apply. Those willing to apply to multiple UG courses at the same time can do so in the same form by selecting multiple course options.

UG Courses

• At the undergraduate level, Xavier University Bhubaneswar offers BCom (Hons) and BBM (Hons), programmes

At the UG level, Xavier School of Commerce under XUB offers BCom (Hons) and BBM (Hons) programmes. These courses consist of six semesters spread over three academic years with the duration of each semester being five months. Final selection to eligible candidates is done purely on the basis of merit, which is decided on the basis of performance in Class 10 and Class 12.

Xavier School of Commerce under XUB also offers Master of Business Finance programme under two elective specialisations – Banking and Insurance, and Finance.

• For this programme, XUB releases a section-wise cutoff, which is used to shortlist candidates for WAT, GD and PI
• Final selection is made on the basis of the candidate's performance in one among XAT/ CAT/ GMAT/ X-GMT/ NMAT exams along with performance in WAT, GD & PI, past academic performance and work experience (if any)

At the doctoral level, XSOC under XUB offers full-time and part-time PhD programme in a single specialisation. For both full-time and part-time PhD, candidates are shortlisted based on their academic records and SOP. Shortlisted candidates are required to appear for Xavier Research Aptitude Test (X-RAT), subject test* (if applicable), presentation, and PI.

Candidates seeking admission to XSOC need to apply online on the official website of Xavier University (www.xub.edu.in) via a computer with an active internet connection (the University recommends using a computer for application with Chrome, IE-V11 and Mozilla as best suited browsers).

For UG programmes, candidates can apply for one or more than one courses but they need to select individual programmes in the same form. Application fee will be calculated by the system accordingly.

Step-by-step process of online application

Step 1: Visit the UG application page (xubug.fdsbase.com/) to apply for UG courses or PG application page of XUB (xubpg.fdsbase.com/) to apply for the PG courses at XUB

Step 2: Click on ‘Apply’ in front of the desired course

Step 3: Register using personal details such as name, email-id and contact number

Step 4: Log in using the registration number and password sent by the University on the contact details added in the previous step

Fill the complete application form with all the details asked and submit it

NOTE: The application form once submitted could not be edited. Also, there is no need for the submission of a hard copy unless asked by the University officials.

XSOC offers all the scholarships as offered by Xavier University, Bhubaneswar to the students of UG programmes. Details are mentioned below:

• Students with 85% aggregate in Class 12 are provided 50% course/tuition fee waiver at the time of admission. This offer continues if the student secures at least 8.0 CGPA in each of the subsequent years.
• Meritorious Scholarships are also awarded to the topper of each University programme at the end of the year which leads to a course/tuition fee waiver of 50%
• Three students from SC/ ST/ economically backward/ minority categories get a 50% course/tuition fee waiver
