Xavier School of Computer Science & Engineering (XCSE) is the Engineering college under Xavier University Bhubaneswar (XUB) that came into existence in the year 2017. XCSE is a unique institute that leverages high-quality programmes in the field of Computer Science fundamentals, coding, research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. This institute currently offers BTech, MTech and PhD programmes at the UG, PG and doctoral level.

One of the chief aspects of this institute is that all its current faculty members are mostly PhD and/or have a postdoctoral experience from IITs/IISc or other major institutes located abroad. Candidates seeking enrolment to Xavier School of Computer Science and Engineering under Xavier University are required to apply online on the official website (www.xub.edu.in) via a computer with an active internet connection (the University recommends using a computer for application with Chrome, IE-V11 and Mozilla as best suited browsers).

UG Course

• BTech admission is based on a written test (Xavier Engineering Selection Test) conducted by the University followed by a Personal Interview (PI)
• Candidates’ academic performance in Class 10 and Class 12 are also considered during final selection
• In addition to that, those with over 75 percentile in JEE Main or diploma holders seeking lateral entry to the first or second year are considered for direct admission.

PG Course

• For MTech, eligible candidates are shortlisted based on their academic performance and/or extra-curricular activities and/or based on a valid score in Xavier Engineering Entrance Examination (XEEE) and/or an SOP
• Shortlisted candidates are further invited for a PI round leading to the final selection

PhD Courses

• Candidates shortlisted for PhD (based on eligibility) are required to appear for Xavier Research Aptitude Test (X-RAT), subject test (if applicable) followed by a presentation and PI round for final admission

Established three years back, none of the BTech batches of Xavier School of Computer Science and Engineering have passed so far. Xavier School of Computer Science and Engineering via Xavier University Bhubaneswar offers a variety of scholarships for its UG level Engineering programme (BTech). Details of all the scholarships are mentioned below:

• Candidates with 85% aggregate in Class 12 are provided 50% course/tuition fee waiver at the time of admission. This offer continues if the student secures at least 8.0 CGPA in each of the subsequent years.
• Meritorious scholarships are also awarded to the topper of each University programme at the end of the year which leads to a course/tuition fee waiver of 50%
• Three students from SC/ ST/ economically backward/ minority categories get a 50% course/tuition fee waiver
