WBMCC NEET Counselling 2021 round 1 seat allocation has been released on February 9, 2021. The registration and choice filling period for West Bengal NEET 2021 Round 1 was extended from 12 noon to 12 am on February 7, and the result is released today at 4 pm on the official website wbmcc.nic.in.

Once the results are released, candidates must log in using their roll numbers and birth dates to view the seat allocation results. According to the timetable published on wbmcc.nic.in, Round 1 admissions will take place between February 10 (10 a.m. and February 12 (4 p.m.), and applicants will also have the option of surrendering their Round 1 assigned seats by February 12. (4 pm).

West Bengal MBBS counselling 2021 or the WBMCC NEET UG Counselling process had started on February 1, 2022. Candidates can register themselves online. The counselling of West Bengal NEET 2021 is conducted by the West Bengal Main Computerised Counselling (WBMCC). The counselling schedule has been released after announcing the NEET 2021 result.

West Bengal NEET Counselling 2021: Types of Domicile

To participate in the counselling of WBMCC NEET 2021, a candidate must possess a domicile certificate of this state. During the registration process of the counselling, a candidate needs to choose from the three options:

Proforma a1: Candidates have been residing in the state of West Bengal for the past ten years (or more) as of December 31, 2021.

Proforma a2: Candidates have been residing in the state of West Bengal for the past ten years (or more) as of December 31, 2021. They must also have passed the class 12 examination in 2021 or before.

Proforma b: Candidates not residing in the state of West Bengal but one of their parents is a permanent resident of West Bengal and has a permanent address in the State of West Bengal

List of people authorised to sign a Domicile Certificate

For a domicile certificate to be valid, it needs to be signed by any of the following authorities:

  • District Magistrate/ Additional District Magistrate/ Deputy Magistrate/ Deputy Collector/ Sub Divisional Officer/ Block Development Officer
  • Superintendent of Police/ Additional Superintendent of Police/ Deputy Superintendent of Police/ Sub Divisional Police Officer
  • Commissioner/ Additional Commissioner/ Joint Commissioner/ Deputy Commissioner/ Assistant Commissioner of Police of Commissioner
  • Judicial Magistrate (any rank/ position) in the concerned District Court/ Kolkata High Court/ Supreme Court of India

Step 2: Document verification

Salient Features of the West Bengal NEET Counselling

After the result announcement and the release of the cut-off list, Medical and Dental colleges across West Bengal will start their West Bengal NEET counselling process. The West Bengal NEET counselling will be held in rounds such as Round 1, Round 2 and Round 3 (if the seats are left vacant). After completing West Bengal NEET counselling round-wise, various institutes also conduct their college-level counselling to fill the remaining vacant seats (if any).

To participate in the State NEET counselling, candidates must register themselves first. Registration for West Bengal NEET counselling will be done online, and the form will be available on the official website of BCECE. The West Bengal NEET counselling applications are now available on the Department of Health & Family Welfare (DHFW), Kolkata.
