Summary:

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Chennai has released the list of candidates allotted seats in round-2 Tamil Nadu NEET PG counselling 2021 under 70% christian quota on March 8. Candidates had registered and filled choice for christian quota ( rank 1 to 640 ) from March 6 to March 7. Candidates will ahve to report to allotted colleges from March 8 till March 10. The list of candidates allotted seats under management quota has alos been uploaded online on March 7.

The counselling for Tamil Nadu NEET PG is conducted online. Only NEET PG 2021 qualified candidates are eligible to attend the Tamil Nadu PG medical counselling 2021.  Tamil Nadu NEET PG 2021 counselling  will be conducted in two rounds. A third, mop-up round, will be organised if any seats are left vacant after the conclusion of the second round of Tamil Nadu NEET PG counselling 2021.

Tamil Nadu PG Medical Counselling 2021: Eligibility Criteria
  • Candidate must be a citizen of India
  • He/she must possess an MBBS degree awarded by the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University
  • Candidates who have completed the MBBS degree course from any other university have to produce an Eligibility Certificate issued by the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, at the time of counselling.
  • He/she must have also completed the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) on or before April 31, 2021.
  • He/she must have qualified NEET PG 2021
  • He/she must have secured more than/equal to the qualifying cutoff for NEET PG 2021.
Tamil Nadu PG Medical Counselling 2021: Documents Required
  • NEET PG 2021 admit card
  • NEET PG score card 2021
  • MBBS Degree Certificate and Diploma Certificate or Provisional Pass Certificate
  • Internship Completion Certificate
  • Permanent/provisional medical registration certificate issued by the MCI/SMC
  • Caste/community certificate issued by the competent authority- for candidates belonging to any of the following communities; backward/backward (muslim)/most backward/denotified/schedule caste/schedule caste (arunthathiyar)
  • Community certificates issued by the Revenue Divisional Officer of the competent jurisdiction (applicable only for schedule tribe candidates, native of Tamil Nadu)
  • Eligibility Certificate (if applicable)
  • Payment receipt for the application form

For NRI Candidates

  • A certificate stating the NRI status of the financial supporter, issued by the Indian Embassy in the respective country under its seal
  • Certificate of Relationship between the NRI financial supporter and the candidate issued by the competent authority
  • Valid Indian Passport of the NRI financial supporter
  • NRE (Non-Resident External) Bank Account Pass Book of the financial supporter

Tamil Nadu NEET PG Counselling 2021: The Process Registration and application form
  • Candidates who wish to participate in the PG medical counselling of Tamil Nadu state have to register themselves on the official website: www.tnhealth.org/www.tnmedicalselection.org
  • After completing the registration process, they will be redirected to the application form for Tamil Nadu NEET PG 2021 counselling
  • Candidates are advised to fill the application form for Tamil Nadu PG medical counselling carefully. They will not be able to edit the details filled in the application form once the application form has been submitted.
  • He/she must then print a copy of the duly filled application form on an A4 size paper. Sign in the space provided on the Tamil Nadu NEET PG 2020 application form.
  • Attach all the necessary enclosures, put them in an A4 size cloth-lined cover
  • A copy of the filled application form, along with the enclosures must be sent to the following address:

  • The Selection Committee will assign Application Registration Number (ARN) on receipt of the filled form
Rank list or state merit list
  • The Selection Committee will prepare a state merit list of the candidates who have registered for Tamil Nadu NEET PG counselling 2021
  • Candidates will be ranked according to the marks obtained in NEET PG 2021
  • Provisional allotment order or call letter will be available online for download
Choice Filling and Locking
  • Counselling for Tamil Nadu NEET PG 2021 will be held online this year due to the COVID-19 situation
  • All candidates will have to pay a processing fee of Rs 1,000 to submit their choices
  • Eligible candidates have to submit their preference (course/college) online through choice filling
  • They have to log in to their registered accounts and fill the choices before the deadline
  • There will be two confirmation pop-ups before locking the choices
  • An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number of the candidate
  • After locking the choices, candidates must take a print out of the choices submitted by them
  • If the candidates do not lock the options before the last date, the system will automatically lock their options
Seat Allotment List and Admission Confirmation

The Selection Committee releases the seat allotment list, which is prepared on the basis of the choices filled by the candidates and their ranks in the State Merit List. Selected candidates have to report to the allotted institute along with all their documents on the scheduled date and time. 

However, candidates can also opt for e-reporting this year. If a candidate is unable to report to the institute in-person, he/she can send a confirmatory email to the respective institute along with the scanned copies of their documents. The admissions confirmed through email will be provisional and subject to successful verification of their documents. 

Tamil Nadu NEET PG Counselling 2021: Other Important Instructions

If a candidate is unable to attend the counselling of Tamil Nadu NEET PG 2021, he/she can send a representative on his/her behalf. The representative must carry an undertaking/authority letter from the candidate along with all the original certificates of the candidate. The representative must also carry his/her photo identity proof (Voter ID/Driving License/PAN card/Passport/Aadhar card). The allotment letter, however, will be handed over to the candidate only.

Tamil Nadu PG Medical Counselling 2021: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) Q. I am not domiciled in Tamil Nadu. Can I still participate in the counselling of Tamil Nadu NEET PG 2021?

A. Candidates who are not domiciled in the state of Tamil Nadu, but have completed their MBBS degree from an institute located in this state can apply for the counselling of Tamil Nadu NEET PG 2021. Others will not be eligible to participate in this counselling.
