Summary:

The spot round seat allocation result has been declared for Odisha NEET 2021 spot round counselling. The spot round counselling was held in offline mode on April 6 and April 7.

The counselling for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in institutes across the state will be conducted by the OJEE Cell on behalf of the Directorate of Medical Education and Training, Bhubaneswar. The counselling will be conducted for admission to the 85% state quota MBBS/BDS seats offered by the government/private institutions of this state. Odisha NEET Counselling 2021: Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Only Indian citizens, OCIs, NRIs and PIOs can apply for Odisha NEET 2021 counselling

Qualification: Applicant must have passed class XII or equivalent with Physics, Biology, Chemistry and English as core subjects.

Entrance Examination: To apply for the counselling of Odisha MBBS/BDS 2021, the candidate must have cleared NEET 2021. Those who have not appeared for/qualified NEET 2021, will not be eligible to participate in the counselling process.

Domicile: Applicant must be domiciled in the state of Odisha. Excepts to this are-

  • Children of Odisha State Government employees
  • Children of Government of India employees currently posted in Odisha

Reservation: The reservation policy for Odisha NEET counselling is as follows:

  • Scheduled Tribe (ST)12 per cent

To participate in the counselling of Odisha NEET 2021, candidates will have to register on the official website of OJEE. Registrations usually follow the announcement of NEET result. The entire application process can be divided into six steps:

State Merit List

After the document verification has been completed, the OJEE Cell will release a list of the candidates who are eligible for the counselling process. Candidates who could not complete the document verification will not be included in this list. The state merit list will rank the eligible candidates based on their performance in NEET 2021.

Choice filling and locking

Candidates who have been included in the state merit list of Odisha NEET 2021 counselling will be able to proceed with choice filling and locking. There is no limit on the number of choices that a candidate can fill in this form. They are thus advised to fill in as many choices as they can. After filling the choices, a candidate must lock these choices or they will not be considered for seat allotment.

Seat allotment list

Based on the choices filled by candidates and their position in the state merit list, OJEE Cell will allocate seats to eligible candidates. Seat allotment list for every round will be released separately. Those who have been allotted a seat and wish to continue with the respective institute will have to report to the institute before the last date.

Odisha NEET Counselling 2021: Highlights 

Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Cell will be conducting a total of three rounds of Odisha NEET counselling 2021 including a spot round for admission to various medical and dental colleges across the state.

The first step of Odisha NEET counselling 2021 is registration where candidates have to provide personal and academic details. Candidates must note that they will have to register separately for each round for Odisha MBS/BDS counselling 2021. After registration, candidates will have to pay the required non-refundable fees. Applications for Odisha MBS/BDS counselling will be accepted only after a candidate pay the registration fees.

After the successful submission of the NEET counselling registration form, the conducting body will release the list of the registered candidates whose applications will be accepted. Candidates whose names will be included in the list have to report to the document verification centres if needed otherwise the documents verification will be done online. After the document verification process, the candidates have to fill their choice of colleges priority-wise. A provisional merit list of shortlisted candidates will be then released for the first round of seat allotment. After this, the subsequent counselling rounds will take place depending upon the cut off and availability of seats.
