Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) conducted mop up round counselling on March 18. The mop up round counselling was held in offline mode. Candidates were given the deadline from March19 to March 25 to report to allocated institute. 

 Only those who have qualified for the said entrance test can participate in the counselling process for admission to the MBBS/BDS/AYUSH courses offered by the institutions located in Jammu & Kashmir. A total of three round of counselling is conducted for JK NEET counselling. The second and mop up round round is conducted only if any seats are left vacant upon the conclusion of the first round of JK NEET counselling.

March 18, 2022: BOPEE held mop up round JK NEET counselling 2021

To participate in the counselling of JK NEET 2021, a candidate must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

• They must be a permanent resident of J&K, as defined in Sec 6 of the Constitution
• They must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised institute with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as core subjects
• They must have attained the age of 17 as on December 31, 2021
• They must have qualified NEET 2021 by scoring more than or equal to the cutoff marks

Candidates willing to participate in the counselling of JK NEET 2021 must register on the official website of BOPEE and fill the application form. After completing the registration process, they will be prompted to upload the necessary documents online. Candidates are thus advised to keep a scanned copy of the documents listed below—in a PDF format, size between 100kb to 200 kb—ready before fillng the application online.

• NEET 2021 Score Card
• Birth Certificate
• Permanent Residence Certificate
• Matriculation Certificate/Marksheet
• Marksheet of Class XII or equivalent
• Category Certificate (where ever applicable)

After the verification process is complete, BOPEE will release a provisional state merit list. This list will include the names of only those candidates who were found eligible after the verification process. Candidates who have been included in this list can proceed to fill the preference form.

This stage of JK NEET 2021 counselling can be conducted online or offline through physical counselling. The method will be intimated to the candidates later. Also, to be considered for the seat allotment process, the candidates will have to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 1500 (irrespective of their category).

The preference form needs to be filled by eligible candidates to be considered for the seat allotment process. There is no limit to the number of choices that a candidate can fill in the preference form. There will be several rounds of mock allotment before the final list is prepared to give candidates an idea of the outcome of their preferences. However, once the final submission has been made, no candidate will be allowed to alter the choices filled.

BOPEE will allocate the seats based on the reservation criteria, choices filled by the candidates and their merit position in the state merit list. Those who are allotted a seat in this process will have to report to the respective institute for confirmation of their admission. Seats left vacant, if any, will be carried forward to the next round. When reporting to the institute allotted, candidates must carry the originals of the documents listed below for physical verification.

1. Marksheet of Class 10 or equivalent
2. Date of Birth Certificate as per matriculation certificate/Birth Certificate
3. Marksheet of Class 12 or equivalent
4. State Subject Certificate
5. Category Certificate (if applicable)
6. NEET 2021 result
7. NEET 2021 admit card
8. P&B Certificate (if applicable)

This round will be conducted if any seats are left vacant after the first round of JK NEET counselling 2021. The following points will be applicable to this round of counselling:

• Candidates allotted a seat in the first round can opt to participate in the upgradation round, provided they are willing to surrender their present seat. Such candidates will have to fill in fresh choices in the preference form.
• The seat thus vacated will become a part of the seat matrix for the counselling of JK NEET 2021 upgradation round.
• Those who had not been allocated a seat in the first round can participate in the second round, by filling fresh choices for this round.
• If the number of seats is more than the number of eligible candidates, BOPEE may reopen the registration window for this round of counselling.

A. To participate in JK NEET 2021 counselling, candidates will have to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 1,500.

A. Candidates who wish to take admission in private medical colleges will have to pay around Rs 4.5 LPA as tuition fee.

A. Yes, it is mandatory to qualify NEET 2021 to participate in the counselling process. Admission to all UG medical and dental courses in India will be done on the basis of NEET 2021 result only.

A. There are nearly 800 seats for MBBS and around 100 seats for BDS courses on offer in government colleges through JK NEET 2021 counselling.

All those who have qualified NEET 2021 will have to register for the first round of JK MBBS counselling. Registration for JK Counselling 2021 could be done from January 12 to January 16. The choice filling process started on February 2.

Second round of JK NEET 2021 counselling dates

Choice filling for the second/upgradation round of JK NEET counselling 2021 will begin in the last week of February (tentatively). BOPEE will announce the result for the second round of counselling in the second week of March.
