HP NEET 2021 merit lists have been released by Atal Medical and Research University (AMRU), Himachal Pradesh. The merit list for the state and management quota seats have been uploaded on the official website. HP NEET counselling 2021 registration had started on December 6, 2021. The counselling of HP NEET 2021 is expected to be conducted offline. However, the registration process for HP NEET 2021 counselling was conducted online till December 12, 2021. The counselling is scheduled to be held in two rounds and a third-round or a mop-up round will be organised only if vacant seats are available.

Atal Medical and Research University on behalf of the Department of Medical Education and Research (DMER) is conducting the NEET counselling for the 85 per cent state quota medical seats of Himachal Pradesh. The venue for offline counselling of HP NEET 2021 will be the auditorium of the University. Admission to HP MBBS/BDS courses will be based on the marks obtained in NEET 2021. HP University will not conduct any separate examination for admission through HP NEET 2021 counselling.

December 10: HP NEET Counselling registration to conclude on December 12, 2021.

• The candidates must fulfil the NEET 2021 eligibility criteria
• Candidates must have qualified NEET 2021 by scoring more than or equal to the cut off percentile

Domicile:

• Parents domiciled in Himachal Pradesh, who have passed any two examinations (class 10/ 11/ 12) from an institute located in Himachal Pradesh
• Children of Government of India employees, who fulfil the following criteria:
• The candidate must have passed class 11
• Children of regular employees of Himachal Pradesh Government
• Parents domiciled in Himachal Pradesh who are working with the Central Government
• Parents domiciled in Himachal Pradesh who are serving in Indian Defence Services/ Ex-Serviceman/Para Military Forces

Candidates willing to participate in the counselling of HP NEET 2021 need to register themselves on the official website of HP University. They must also keep the scanned copies of the documents listed below beforehand.

Candidates need to keep the scanned copy of the photograph, signature and NEET Score Card handy in desired specifications before applying for HP NEET Counselling 2021:

• Go to the official website www.amruhp.ac and select ‘Under Graduate’
• Read the instructions and click on ‘MBBS/BDS Admission’
• Fill in the following details in the personal information section:
  • Name
  • Father’s name
  • Mother’s name
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Nationality
  • Age
  • Category
  • PwD status
  • Aadhaar number
  • NEET 2021 roll number and marks obtained
• After the registration form is submitted, the system will generate a unique registration number and password. Note down these credentials for future reference.
• Login using the registration number and password
• Proceed to complete the application:
  • Enter education and document details
  • Marks and percentage obtained in Class 12
  • Bonafide/Domicile Status
• Pay the application fee using a credit card/debit card/net banking
• Print the application form and keep it safe for future reference

• For General/OBC/NRI candidates: Rs 2,000
• For SC/ST/PwD candidates: Rs 1,000

The HP University has released a Merit list of the candidates who have applied for the counselling of HP NEET 2021. This merit list rank the applicants in order of the marks obtained in NEET 2021 and also take into account the category to which a candidate belongs. Admission to the state quota seats of HP MBBS/BDS will be based on the state merit list only.

Following the release of the State Merit List, HP University will also release a schedule for the counselling. Candidates must check their ranks in the State Merit List before checking the schedule for HP NEET counselling 2021. The counselling will be conducted in the auditorium of HP University, Summer Hill Shimla, 171005.

Q: What is the validity of the NEET scorecard?

A: NEET Scorecard can be used for the current academic session in India but candidates who want to study abroad can use the same NEET scorecard for three years.

Q: Is there any limit in the number of attempts for NEET?

A: No. According to the regulatory body, there’s no cap on the number of attempts for NEET but there’s an upper age limit.

Q: When is HP NEET 2021 counselling expected to start?

A: HP NEET counselling process has started on December 6, 2021, with the release of the application forms on the official website of AMRUHS.

Q: Do I have to fill any application form for HP NEET counselling?

A: Yes. You have to fill an application form for HP NEET counselling. The application fee for HP NEET Counselling is Rs 2,000 for General/OBC candidates and Rs 1,000 for SC/ST candidates. HP NEET 2021 counselling fee can be paid online using Debit/ Credit/ Net banking. 

Q: Can I fill the application form for HP NEET counselling offline?

A: No, the application form will be available in online mode only. Applications sent by post or any other mode will not be accepted.

A: The document verification process is expected to be held via the online process keeping in view the existing COVID-19 situation.

Himachal Pradesh NEET Counselling registration had started from December 6, 2021. The last date to apply for the Himachal Pradesh 2021 NEET Counselling was December 12, 2021. The NEET counselling process is usually carried forward according to the quota of seats. Himachal Pradesh has 15 per cent reserved seats for candidates belonging to other States and is known as All India Quota (AIQ). Rest 85 per cent of the total seats are reserved for the candidates having Himachal Pradesh domicile.

Below is the tentative schedule for each event for Himachal Pradesh NEET counselling, candidates can refer to:

After the result announcement and the release of the cutoff list Medical and Dental colleges across Himachal Pradesh had started the Himachal Pradesh NEET counselling process. The Himachal Pradesh NEET counselling is scheduled to be held in various rounds such as Round 1, Round 2 and Round 3 or mop-up round (if the seats are left vacant). After the completion of the Himachal Pradesh NEET counselling round wise, various institutes also conduct their counselling at the college level in order to fill the remaining vacant seats (if any).

To participate in the State NEET counselling candidates have to register themselves first. Registration for Himachal Pradesh NEET counselling will be done online and the form will be available on the official website. The Himachal Pradesh NEET counselling applications were available from December 6 to December 13, 2021.

The registrations for HP NEET counselling will be considered and accepted only after the payment of the registration fee. After the successful submission of the NEET counselling registration form, the conducting body will release the list of the registered candidates whose applications will be accepted.

The candidates whose names are on the list then have to report to the document verification centres if needed otherwise the documents verification is being done online. After the document verification process, the candidates have to fill their choice of colleges priority-wise. A provisional merit list of shortlisted candidates will be then released for the first round of seat allotment.

After this, the subsequent counselling rounds will take place depending upon the cut off and availability of seats.
