Summary: What is AGRICET?

The Acharya N.G Agricultural University (ANGRAU) conducts the Agriculture Common Entrance Test (AGRICET) in order to offer students admission in four-year BSc (Hons) Agriculture Degree programmes. AGRICET is a state-level entrance exam which is conducted in offline mode i.e. pen and paper test. The question papers contains questions in Telugu medium as well and the duration of the entrance exam is 1 hour 30 minutes. Students need to meet the eligibility criteria before applying for admission. The AGRICET 2020 is conducted in the month of July each year. The application forms for the entrance exam are released online on the official website of AGRICET.

AGRICET Eligibility Criteria

Students need to meet the eligibility criteria in order to get admission in Acharya N.G Agricultural University (ANGRAU) which are as follows:

  • The candidates should have passed two-year Diploma in Agriculture/Seed Technology/Organic Farming from ANGRAU/PJTSAU (those who are going to complete the Diploma Requirements in 2018-19 Academic Year can also apply by submitting a Completion Certificate from the concerned Head of the Institute).
  • Age Limit: The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December 2019 with an upper age limit 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years in respect of S.C, S.T and 27 years in respect of PH candidates.

AGRICET Admission Process

In order to get admission in Acharya N.G Agricultural University (ANGRAU), students will have to follow a certain protocol in order to get admission in the desired course offered by the university.

Step 1: Fill and Submit Exam Application Form

The candidate will firstly have to apply online for AGRICET which will be available on the official website of AGRICET. Students will have to enter the details as required on the application form and upload their respective passport size photographs and signatures. Candidates are advised to fill the application form correctly.

Step 2: Admit Card

Students who have successfully filled and submitted their AGRICET application forms, can avail the admit card (hall ticket) from the official website of AGRICET as well. The admit card is an important document which needs to be carried to the exam centre.

Step 3: Appear for ARGRICET 2020

AGRICET Exam 2020 will be conducted on July 21, 2020. Students are advised to carry their admit card and should reach the exam centre well on time. Candidates who are late to the exam centre, will not be allowed to sit for the entrance test.

Step 4: Results

The AGRICET results will be announced online on the official website. The candidate’s scores and rank will be mentioned. According to the rank secured, qualified students will be called for counselling to the university.

Step 5: Counselling

Students who make the merit list, will be called for the counselling session which will be conducted in the university. There will be different phases of counselling, depending on the seats left and the cut-offs.

The AGRICET Exam will be conducted on July 21, 2020. The commencement for the AGRICET application form will be released online June 6, 2020, onwards, once the notification has been released. The last date to register and apply for AGRICET is till June 30, 2020. The last date to submit the application form with a late fee of Rs 1000, is July 5, 2020. Students who have successfully filled and submitted their application form can avail and download their admit card once released online on July 14, 2020.AGRICET will be conducted on July 21, 2020. The date of declaration of the results will be released in the first week of August, 2020.
