AIAMEE - All India Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Examination

AIAMEE 2022 application forms are expected to be released in April next year on the official website. Candidates will be able to fill the application form tentatively tile June 2022. All students must fulfil all the eligibility conditions before filling the application form.

The All India Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Examination or AIAMEE is an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering entrance exam conducted by Star Aviation Academy, Gurugram for its flagship AME course. AIAMEE is a computer-based test of 90 minutes duration, carrying 90 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of one mark each.

The subjects covered in AIAMEE are General Knowledge, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.  The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the counselling rounds of the Star Aviation Academy for the final admission or selection process.

The candidates should have appeared for, or passed the 10+2 board exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) are eligible to appear for AIAMEE.

The AIAMEE 2022 eligibility criteria, as laid out by the exam authority are as follows:

• Candidates should have passed 10+2 (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) or Equivalent from a recognised Board or a three-year Diploma in Engineering.
• Candidates’ age should be less than 24 years at the time of admission.
• Candidates should be physically fit. They should not be suffering from colour blindness or night blindness. However, candidates with spectacles are acceptable.

The AIAMEE 2022 admit card is likely to be released in online mode in the first week of June 2022. The exact date of the AIAMEE 2022 admit card has not been declared yet by the exam authorities. It is expected that the admit card of AIAMEE 2022 will be available to the candidates who would complete the application process of the AIAMEE 2022 by paying the application fee will be able to download the AIAMEE 2022 admit card from the official website.

Candidates must take multiple copies of the AIAMEE 2022 admit card for carrying it to the AIAMEE centre. They must keep the admit card secure till the AIAMEE admission process is complete. AIAMEE is a computer-based test of 90 minutes duration which carries 90 objective type multiple-choice questions across five sections. Each question carries one mark. According to the exam authorities, there is no negative marking scheme. The sections of the exam are as follows:

While the first three subjects are allotted more weightage (20 marks each), the last two subjects have lower weightage (15 marks each).

The AIAMEE authorities have released the AIAMEE 2022 syllabus for the test takers. Within the syllabus, subjects or topics to be prepared for each of the sections is given. The syllabus of AIAMEE 2022 syllabus is similar to that of the Class 12 board exam. Some of the key areas of each subject or session of AIAMEE are as follows:

The AIAMEE officials have released the AIAMEE sample papers for each subject. Aspirants can visit the official website and click on the tab ‘Sample Paper’ and download the subject wise sample papers.

The candidates must practice from the AIAMEE sample paper to get accustomed to the question types and difficulty level to be expected. Following are the steps to download the AIAMEE Sample Paper:

As far as the AIAMEE 2022 selection procedure is concerned, after the result of AIAMEE is declared, the Star Aviation Academy will announce the merit list of the qualified candidates for the final admission.

Selected candidates will be informed by email and they have to appear for the final selection round with the necessary documents on the campus to fulfil the admission formalities. Excess candidates may be sent to the sister schools.

A: The difficulty level of AIAMEE can be termed as moderate to difficult. However, the difficulty level of the test depends on the preparation standard of the candidates.

Q:Is it necessary to take coaching to crack AIAMEE 2022?

A: It is not mandatory to take coaching for AIAMEE 2022. It depends on the candidates’ preparation level and conceptual clarity. If a candidate is not much confident regarding self-preparation, s/he can opt for coaching. Along with subject-wise preparation, it is important to practice and solve question papers regularly to manage time and ensure getting a good score.

A: No, the AIAMEE is conducted only in online or computer-based mode. Hence, all AIAMEE aspirants have to appear for the exam in this mode only as there is no option to take offline or paper-pencil based test.

A: No, candidates have to appear for the test from the designated AIAMEE centre, which will be allocated to them by the exam authorities. While filling up the AIAMEE application form, candidates will have to select two cities in order of their preference for appearing in the exam.
