BHU BPT 2020 entrance exam is conducted by the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) tentatively in the Second week of June every year. But, due to the Coronavirus outbreak and nationwide lockdown since March 24, 2020 all the events such as registration, application form and issue of admit cards are put o hold. BHU has not issued any circular regarding this on their official website though but it is expected that the University will start accepting the applications tentatively in the third week of August 2020.

BHU BPT 2020 is a gateway for admission in to four-year BSc BPT programme including internship. The entrance exam will be conducted by Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi. BHU BPT 2020 is a national level entrance exam and candidates can apply for the same online by visiting the official website of BHU, bhu.ac.in/ims/.  The national level entrance exam will have questions from Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.

BHU BPT 2020 eligibility criteria is decided by the conducting body Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Banaras Hindu University (BHU). The eligibility criteria is set up on three parameters, Nationality, Age, and the Academic qualification. Below are the criteria:

• Candidates should be an Indian National 
• Candidate should have passed class or its equivalent from a recognized board of institute with an aggregate of minimum 50% marks (For general candidates) in English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) and 40% for the OBC Non-creamy layer/ SC/ ST.
• Candidate should be 17-years old and not more than 25 years in age as on December 31, 2020

The BHU has not yet made any official announcement regarding the delay in the application form invitation and other events. But, as per their annual entrance exam calendar, the admission process was expected to begin from Second week of April 2020, but due to the COVI-19 outbreak the events has been postponed.. Below are the important dates for BHU BPT 2020 events. 

BHU BPT 2020 Application Form

BHU BPT 2020 application form will be available on the official website of BHU. Candidates have to download the brochure from the website. Before they begin to fill the BHU BPT 2020 application form online in order to be aware of the instructions regarding the application form filling process. It is also advisable that the aspirants should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility criteria set by the conducting body, Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi.

Candidates have to provide all the details such as Personal, Academic, Correspondence, Communication etc. in the form. No application will be considered completed without the application fee payment. Candidates must ensure to pay the application fee to conclude the application for filling process successfully. Candidates should ensure that each and every detail they have provided in the application form is true and correct as the BHU will not provide any correction window to edit the BHU BPT 2020 application form. Before the final submission of the application form, candidates should take at least two printouts of the application form for future reference. The candidates should apply for the BHU BPT on or before the last date to apply to avoid the rejection of the application.

BHU BPT admit card will be issued after the application process concludes successfully. Candidates whose application was submitted successfully and the application was paid on time will get the BHU BPT 2020 admit card. BHU will send the link for BHU BPT 2020 admit card to the registered email ID of the candidates. The admit card will be available online on the official website of BHU and candidates can download the admit card in PDF file and take printout.

The hard copy of the BHU BPT admit card is mandatory to carry to the exam centre and no candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall without the admit card. To avoid being late the candidates are advised to reach the exam centre at least an hour before the commencement of the examination. Details regarding the exam centre venue and instructions to be followed on the exam day will be mentioned on the admit card. 

BHU BPT 2020 result will be announced by the IMS, Banaras Hindu University on their official website, bhu.ac.in/ims/. Candidates have to login to the official website using their username and password and then open the ‘BSc BPT 2020 Result’ from the notice section. In order to check their result, candidates have to submit/search their Roll Number. The result will be available on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the national level entrance examination and will be published in category-wise. Candidates first have to select their category they had applied and to check their result specifically they have to look out for their Roll number in the result list.

BHU BPT 2020 counselling will be organized by the conducting body, IMS, BHU and all the candidates who will qualify for the national level entrance exam will be invited for counselling process.  Candidates will be asked to carry all relevant documents with them at the time of counselling failure of which may lead to rejection of the seat allotment. BHU will release a list of candidates who will be shortlisted for the counselling process on their official website prior to respective rounds of counselling. 

BHU BPT 2020 important dates for all the events had been announced, but due to the COVID 19 outbreak, several events have been postponed till further notice. Usually, the application process for the BHU BPT 2020 begins by the Second week of April every year. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the nationwide lockdown the BHU BPT 2020 application was made available on June 23, 2020. BHU BPT 2020 exam process involves events such as application and registration, issue of admit card, exam, result and counselling.

Every year, the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, the conducting body begins the admission process by releasing the prospectus and inviting the application forms. The admission process is usually concluded by fourth week of September every year. Referring to the previous year’s calendar, below are the tentative dates of the various events:

The conducting body was expected start inviting the BHU BPT 2020 application form was avaialble from June 23, 2020 and candidates were able to apply by July 23, 2020. The application and registration process was conducted online. Candidates have to provide all the necessary details asked to fill in the application form such as the personal and academic details. Candidates should ensure to pay the application fee in order to finish the application process successfully.

 After the successful submission of the application form the conducting body will release the admit cards via online mode. The admit card will have all the necessary details regarding the candidate and the exam centre and can be downloaded in the printable PDF format by visiting the official website of BHU. The IMS BHU has postponed the release ofthe admit card till further notice. 

BHU BPT 2020 exam will be the next important event in the calendar which was supposed to bebheld on August 23, 2020 but stands postponed due to the COVID-19 crisis till further notice. The candidates have to reach the centre on the day of examination before the mentioned time. The exam will be held in the offline (pen and paper) mode.  The candidates will have to attempt 100 questions in total from the four sections. There will be no negative marking.

After the BHU BPT 2020 exam the Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), BHU was earlier expected to announce the result tentatively in the second week of July 2020. BHU BPT 2020 result will be announced online and will be published on the official website of BHU. Candidates have to login using their username and password to check and download their BHU BPT 2020 result.

After the BHU BPT 2020 result is announced the other events will be held as mentioned in the table above, as soon as the BHU notifies and announces the fresh dates for the events. The next important event after the result declaration will the BHU BPT 2020 counselling. Candidates will be required to report the venue of counselling on the mentioned date and time. Only the shortlisted candidates who will qualify the national level examination will be invited for the counselling.
