The Common Post Graduate Entrance Test (CPGET) is conducted by Osmania University. Through this exam, candidates can secure admission in various PG, PGD (post-graduate diploma) courses and five-years integrated courses which are offered by Osmania, Telangana, Mahatma Gandhi and Palamuru Universities. The entrance exam which was named OUCET (Osmania University Common Entrance Test), is now recognised as CPGET by the Osmania University. CPGET is still commonly referred to as OUCET. The Common Post Graduate Entrance Exam (CPGET) or OUCET (Osmania University Common Entrance Test) is conducted for admissions to various PG, PGD (post-graduate diploma) and five years integrated courses such as MSc, MA, MCom, M.Ed, MLibSc, BLibSc, MPEd and integrated programmes (MA, MSc, MBA, which are offered by the following faculties:
It is mandatory for candidates to possess a Bachelor’s degree in BSc, BA with a minimum of 40 per cent marks in aggregate to be eligible to sit for the exam. The CPGET 2020 entrance exam is conducted in offline mode (Pen and Paper Test). CPGET exam pattern is such that candidates need to attempt multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and the duration of the exam is 90 minutes.

The CPGET (OUCET) entrance exams cater to a number of courses and thus, the eligibility criteria for each course is different. However, candidates have to obtain a minimum of 40 per cent in the qualifying examination. There is no age criteria set.

Candidates who wish to sit for the CPGET 2020 entrance exam, there is a process is as follows:
STEP 1: CPGET 2020 Application formCandidates can register for CPGET 2020 by filling up the application form online which will be available on the official website of CPGET 2020. The application forms for the 2020/21 academic year were released on September 18, 2020, onwards. Candidates will have to register themselves before applying for the application form.
STEP 2: CPGET 2020 admit cardOnce all the formalities are completed after the candidate has successfully applied for the entrance exam, the CPGET 2020 admit cards will be made available for download at least a week before the exam date, on the official website. No personal intimation will be sent to the candidates.
STEP 3: CPGET 2020 Entrance ExamThe CPGET (OUCET) 2020 entrance exam in all subjects except MPEd will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) for 100 marks. MPEd will be out of 75 marks as the remaining 25 will be adjudged on the candidates’ sports achievement over the last three years. The marks will be given by the department of Osmania University and the marks provided will be final.
STEP 4: CPGET 2020 ResultsOnce the CPGET 2020 entrance exam results will be announced, a rank list will be released on a designated day. On the basis of the rank list, which will be available on the official website of CPGET, candidates will be able to seek admission to Osmania, Telangana, Mahatma Gandhi and Palamuru Universities.
STEP 5: CPGET 2020 CounsellingAfter the candidates have successfully cleared the entrance exam followed by their names on the rank list, admission to various colleges is done through web-based counselling. The candidates have to fill colleges of their preference online after the result is declared.
The CPGET exam centres will be allotted to the candidates after they have successfully received their respective admit cards. The information of the exam centre will be written on the admit card which will be provided by the Osmania University. While filling the application form, candidates will get the chance to choose the exam centres of the CPGET 2020 according to their convenience.

Q. Does Osmania University conduct OUCET?
A. Osmania University used to earlier conduct OUCET, however, varsity now conducts the Common Postgraduate Entrance Test (CPGET).
Q. Are MBA courses offered through CPGET?
A. Yes. Through CPGET, candidates can apply for admission to MBA and five-year integrated MBA courses as well.
Q. What is the format of CPGET 2020?
A. The CPGET exam format will be in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). A total of 100 questions will be asked and the total marks will be 100.
Q. Is any course of Gender Studies offered at Osmania University?
A. Yes Through CPGET, candidates can apply for MA in Gender Studies.
Q. I have done my Bachelor's through distance course, am I eligible?
A. No. Candidates who have done their Bachelor's degree from a distance course or online, are not eligible for the programmes.

Dates Section:Osmania University will conduct the Common Postgraduate Entrance Test (CPGET) from December 1, 2020, onwards. An official notice will be released online on the official website of CPGET 2020. The application forms for CPGET were made available from September 18 onwards and the last date to apply without a late fee was till October 23, 2020. The last date to apply for CPGET with a late fee of Rs 500 is till November 17 and the last date to apply with a late fee of Rs 2,000 is till November 21, 2020. The CPGET 2020 exams will be conducted from December 2 to December 11, 2020. The Msc Phsyics Entrance Exam which was to be conducted on December 5, 2020, will nowbe conducted on December 11, 2020. The entrance exams which were scheduled to be conducted on December 8, but were postponed due to the Bharat Bandh, will now be conducted on December 14, 2020. Here is the notice released.
