What is DCECE?Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) conducts the Diploma-Certificate Entrance Competitive Examination (DCECE) for admission to the polytechnic engineering diploma course. DCECE 2022 will be held in a pen and paper-based mode across the state of Bihar. DCECE conducts two different examinations for different courses Polytechnic Engineering (PE) for admission to engineering courses and Part-time Polytechnic Engineering (PPE) is for admission to part-time four-year diploma engineering courses.

Candidates can check the eligibility requirements to appear in DECECE 2022 from below.
Domicile – Candidates applying for the exam should be an Indian citizen whose parent is a permanent resident of Bihar or parents are holding refugee status in the state or parents are employed with Bihar government, or parents are employed with the central government in Bihar or parents works with the UN and is currently posted in the state.
Medical criteria – Candidates must be physically fit.
Eligibility Criteria for PE candidates
Educational Qualification:
- Applicants should have passed Class 10th standard conducted from Bihar Board or any other equivalent exam with a minimum of 35% marks.
- Candidates appearing in Class 10th in the admission year are also eligible to apply.
Age Criteria: There is no minimum age limit
Eligibility Criteria for PPE candidates
Educational Qualification: Candidates applying for the PPE course must have cleared the class X exam or any equivalent exam and should hold two year IT Certificate.
Age Criteria: Candidates should be not less than 19 years of age as of July 1.
