GAT (PGP) - GAT Post Graduate Test For Pharmacy

GITAM GAT 2020 is conducted by Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM). GITAM GAT 2020 which is commonly known as GITAM Graduate Aptitude Test. GITAM GAT 2020 exam is conducted for admission in M.Pharma programmes. For M. Pharma programmes, candidates who have qualified the GPAT will be exempted from the GITAM GAT 2020. The examination is a computer-based test expected to be held in April 2020. Eligible candidates have to register themselves on the official website, gat.gitam.edu.

GITAM GAT 2020 is a common entrance test, categorised in different groups, GAT UGTP for B. Pharma and GAT (PGP) for M. Pharma programmes. GITAM Institute of Pharmacy established in 2006 is Deemed to be University. The university has three campuses in Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bangalore respectively and the main campus of the university is located in Visakhapatnam.

GITAM GAT 2020 Pharmacy exam dates and other important events have not been announced by Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) yet. According to the conducting body’s annual entrance examination calendar, the exams are expected to be held in the month of July 2020. The tentative examination calendar is mentioned below

GITAM GAT PGP 2020 eligibility criteria is the minimum requirement a candidate should have to appear for the exam. Eligibility criteria should be taken into consideration on a serious note because if any discrepancy found, later on, it might result in cancellation of admission or candidature, even if the candidate has qualified the entrance exam.

GITAM GAT PGP application form is now available on the official website of GITAM. The candidates can fill and submit the application form via both modes, online and offline. Candidates have to register first and then they can proceed further by filling in their personal details such as Name, Father’s name, Aadhaar number, e-mail and phone number. Firstly, aspirants need to register for GAT-PGP. The application process is both online and offline. The application fee of Rs. 1,000/-  (Rs. 600/- for female candidates) can be paid online or via DD.

Aspirants need to book slot slots for GAT-PGP. Since the exam conducted for a period of almost two weeks, aspirants need to select their preferred date, time and centre.

Aspirants can download GAT-PGP 2020 admit card from the official website which will be made available in the month of April. The admit card will have details like Candidate's Name, Address, contact details, test centres etc.

GAT PGP is conducted in the month of April. Aspirants are advised to reach the exam centre at least an hour before the commencement of the exam.

GITAM GAT PGP 2020 result will be declared in the month of May. The result will have a candidate's merit position, score-card with total marks, marks obtained in each subject.

Aspirants who clear the exam need to appear for GAT-PGP 2020 counselling which will be held in May. 

GITAM GAT PGP 2020 admit card is the only ticket that allows a candidate to enter the examination centre. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the GITAM GAT PGP 2020 exam with the admit card. GITAM GAT PGP 2020 Admit Card has the exam centre address, the time and exam date.

Candidates can download the admit card from the official website of GITAM, gitam.edu. GITAM do not post the admit card via post or e-mail. Candidates have to log in using their application number or user ID and password to download the admit card.

GITAM GAT 2020 Pharmacy result will be announced by the conducting body GITAM after the examination in the fourth week of April 2020. Candidates can check the result on the official website of GITAM whenever it will be declared. The university prepares a rank list based on the scores of candidate. Candidate who scores more marks is ranked above.

Candidates can check their rank and scorecard by using their GITAM GAT 2020 Pharmacy admit card number and date of birth. On the basis of the candidate’s rank, each gets a call letter for counselling.  Candidates can download the counselling letter online from GITAM website using application number.

GITAM University also disburses certain scholarships to the meritorious candidates. Based on the performance of the candidate in GITAM GAT PGP 2020 Pharmacy exam and other state or national level entrance exams. Candidates can refer to the table below for their reference

GITAM GAT PGP 2020 will be conducted for admission to postgraduate programs offered at the Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam campuses of GITAM University. The University will conduct the online admission test at the following 50 test centres, depending upon the number of applications received against each test centre.

Below are the eligibility criteria for GITAM GAT PGP 2020 for M. Pharma

• The candidate should have a B. Pharma degree from recognised university with a minimum of 50 percent marks or equivalent grade.
• The candidate should have qualified GITAM GAT Pharmacy (PGP) 2020 for M. Pharma
• Candidates who have qualified the GPAT/GATE and have a valid scorecard will be exempted from the GITAM GAT (PGP) 2020. However, the candidates have to appear for the counselling after applying for admission.

GITAM offers M. Pharm in four branches at their Vishakapatnam campus. Below are the four branches of M. Pharm programmes

GITAM GAT PGP 2020 exam pattern gives a clear idea about how the question paper will be structured. The exam pattern has the key information such as exam duration, type of questions asked and other vital details.

GAT PGP 2020 application forms are now available on the official website of GITAM University, gitam.edu. The last date to apply for GAT PGP 2020 is 30 March 2020. Candidates can fill the GITAM GAT PGP application forms via both modes, online and offline. Candidates who wish to fill and submit the application form by sending a DD of Rs. 150 to GITAM University to get the hard copy of the application form through Post. Candidates can also collect the application forms from the authorised mentioned bank branches such as Union Bank of India, Indian Bank, and Karur Vysya Bank by paying a sum of Rs 150.

Candidates who are applying via online procedure have to pay a sum of Rs. 800, which is a uniform fee for all the genders and categories. Candidates can pay the fee through Credit/Debit or Net Banking. Candidates applying via offline mode have to send a DD in favour of GITAM University, payable at Visakhapatnam, at the University's address.
