JAC or Joint Admission Committee conducts admissions to BE, BArch, Integrated BE (Chemical), MBA courses offered by listed below institutes in Chandigarh on the basis of JEE Main scores and pass percentage secured in Class XII or equivalent examination. The admission process is popularly known as JAC Chandigarh admissions. Since admissions are based on All India Ranks of JEE Main, there is no entrance exam. Interested candidates only have to apply for the counselling process conducted by JAC.

• They must be Indian Nationals(except for those seats which are meant for Foreign Nationals/NRI)
• The Chandigarh quota is for applicants who are residing in Chandigarh. While the All India Quota is for aspirants belonging to other parts of India

Academic Qualifications:

The academic qualification required for JAC Chandigarh 2021 counselling is the same as JEE Main

For admissions to BE/BE(Chemical) with MBA and BArch courses, the listed below subject combinations will be required:

Important points to note:

• The All India Rank acquired in JEE Main will be used for admission to BE/BE (Chemical) with MBA and B Arch programmes.
• The cut-off for various categories will be decided by CBSE once JEE Main results are declared.
• SC, ST, OBC (Non-creamy layer) and PwD candidates will be eligible for admissions on the basis of relaxed criteria cut-off declared by CBSE for Central Counselling.
•  For aspirants applying under any other category besides SC/ST/BC/PwD, the cut-off marks(to be decided by CBSE) for eligibility will be the same as for the General or Open category.  The lower percentage of marks secured in Class 12th or equivalent qualifying exam and/or relaxed criteria (cut off) for one category will not be taken into consideration for the reservation to other categories. This means that these aspirants will not be considered for reservation under any other category with relaxed criteria.

•  Aspirants eligible for BE/BE(Chemical) with MBA and BArch will also be eligible for registration to the same courses for the upcoming session.
• Aspirants who get a compartment in the 10+2 exam will not be considered eligible for admissions under JAC Chandigarh 2021 Admissions even if he/she clears the supplementary exam before the counselling/reporting dates.

Physical and Mental health:

• Aspirants to have sound physical and mental health. They must not have been debarred from any institution/university.
• Standard of Visual acuity with or without glasses should be:

1. Distant Eye – Better Eye should be between 6/9 to 6/6, while Worse Eye should be between 6/9 to 6/12
2. Near Vision – Better eye should be 0/6 & Worse eye should be 0/8

• The total amount of myopia including the cylinder should not exceed - 600 D
• The total amount of hypermetropia including the cylinders should not exceed +600 D

Inter-se Merit for Admission:

The inter-se merit of aspirants will be determined on the basis of JEE Main All India Rank only, except for Sports and Defence Category students.

Eligibility for Foreign Nationals/NRI seats:

• Undergraduate admissions to Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) /Non – Resident Indians (NRIs) at University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET) and Dr SSBUICET (formerly known as DCET) Chandigarh will be done NIT(National Institute of Technology), Srinagar under the DASA scheme.
• Around 24 and 19 seats are available at UIET and Dr SSBUICET respectively for international student admissions.
