What is JEXPO?

West Bengal State Council of Technical Education organizes the JEXPO entrance exam every year. JEXPO 2021 is the state-level entrance exam through which candidates can get admission in diploma courses offered in the state of West Bengal. JEXPO is also known as the Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics for admissions to diploma courses in engineering/ technology/ architecture.

JEXPO 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality of the candidate: Candidates should be Indian citizens.

Age criteria: No upper age limit. But the candidate’s Date of Birth should not be after 01.07.2006.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10th class examination from any recognized board. Candidates who are appearing in their 10th class are also eligible to apply.

Marks Criteria: Candidates must have secured 35% marks in their 10th class.

JEXPO 2021 Exam Pattern
  • Mode of the examination: JEXPO will be conducted through offline mode
  • Medium of the exam: Question paper will be available in English and Bengali languages
  • Types of question: Multiple-choice questions will be asked in the examination
  • Total number of questions: A total of 100 questions will be asked in the examination
  • Duration of the exam: The exam will be conducted for two hours duration
  • Marking Scheme: For each correct response, one mark will be awarded. For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted

JEXPO 2021 Admission Process

Below are the steps of the admission process for JEXPO 2021:

Step 1: JEXPO application form 2021

Candidates have to register online on the official website and fill the JEXPO 2021 application form. The application fee is Rs 450 which is to be paid online through debit/credit card or net banking. While filling up the JEXPO application form, candidates can select up to five institutes/colleges to send their scores for admission. Candidates need to select JEXPO 2021 exam centers (usually the test cities) while filling the application form.

STEP 2: JEXPO admit card 2021

JEXPO admit card is released for the registered candidates on its official website. Candidates must download their admit cards and take a printout of the same before the exam, as it is a mandatory document. JEXPO admit cards 2021 will be available online for downloading, until exam day.

STEP 3: JEXPO exam 2021

JEXPO exam will be conducted in pen and paper-based mode. The offline test comprises 100 questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates will get two hours to complete the question paper.

Step 4: JEXPO Result 2021

The result of JEXPO will be available on its official website of the WBSCTE. The result will not be communicated individually to the candidates. The result of JEXPO will be available in the form of the merit list. No separate rank card will be issued to the candidates.
