The KVPY exam 2021 has been conducted on May 22, 2022. The aptitude test was earlier postponed owing to rising Omicron cases.
Earlier, the KVPY exam was scheduled to be conducted on November 7, 2021, but was postponed after Madras HC stayed the aptitude test over regional language concerns. Thereafter, the exam was scheduled to be conducted on January 9, but was postponed due to Omircron. Now, the exam will be conducted on May 22.
Here's how the announcement was made on the KVPY website regarding the KVPY 2021 exam date:
KVPY application forms were released on the official KVPY website on July 12, 2021. The last date to apply for the same was September 6. All the interested and eligible candidates were able to register for the KVPY scholarship exam through the official KVPY website.
The official notice on KVPY Exam 2021 postponement read, "Due to the emerging unprecedented surge of COVID-19 cases, and the subsequent restrictions and weekend curfew in many states, the KVPY-Aptitude Test 2021 to be held on 9th January 2022, is postponed in the larger interest of the students. Please check KVPY website regularly for further updates."
Candidates will be able to download their KVPY admit card through the official website of KVPY using their login credentials.
The KVPY answer key will be released on the official KVPY website through which the candidates will be able to calculate their probable scores.

Generally, after the KVPY exam, the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (IISc) releases KVPY cutoff. Candidates who achieve the desired cutoff are called for the second round of the selection process, which is the interview. However, this year, no interviews will be conducted due to COVID-19. The scholarship grant will solely be based on the Aptitude Test.
The KVPY Result 2021 will be released in June/July, tentatively along with the provisional merit list and cutoff marks.
Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria must fill up the application form and start with their KVPY preparations immediately.
