LUMET - Lucknow University Management Entrance Test

LUMET 2022 exam registrations have begun from April 11. It will go on till June 10, 2022. The exam date is expected to be announced after the application process is over. Interested candidates will be able to fill the forms at the university website. The LUMET  2022 will be followed by counselling, personal interview and seat allotment. Read below all about LUMET.

What is LUMET ?

Lucknow University Management Entrance Test (LUMET) is a university level entrance exam held annually for admission to MBA/MTTM programmes at Lucknow University. Candidates having valid CAT exam score can apply for MBA admission directly. Last year, the Lucknow University renamed LUMET.

The entrance exam is a MCQ based test, in which the question paper will have 100 questions on General Awareness, English Verbal Ability & Comprehension, Data Interpretation & logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. The time duration of PGET is 90 minutes.

Candidates selected on the basis of CAT/PGET score will be invited for Personal Interview (PI) round. The final selection will be based on candidate's entrance exam score and performance in PI. CAT/LUMET carry 70 points, PI carries 30 points.

LUMET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are advised to check the eligibility before filling the application form.

• The candidate must have completed graduation in any stream with 10+2+3 system from any University recognized by University Grants Commission
• The candidate must have secured a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate ( 45 per cent for SC/ST candidates) at graduation level
• Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in the current year can apply for admission but they should fulfill all eligibility conditions on the day of admission.

LUMET 2022 Admission Process

Step 1: Fill in the Application form

Candidates willing to appear for the exam need to fill the application form. The LUMET application form can be filled online and needs to be submitted before the deadline. Candidates must make sure that they check the eligibility before filling the form.

The registration fee is as follows:

• For candidates belonging to General and OBC category: INR 1,600
• For candidates belonging to SC and ST categories: INR 800

Candidates can choose to pay the fee from any of the following modes:

• Credit Card
• Debit Card
• Net Banking

Step 2: Download LUMET Admit Card 2022

Candidates who register successfully for the exam will be issued LUMET admit cards. The same will be available online and candidates can download them from the official website of Lucknow University. To access the hall ticket, the candidate needs to have his/her registration number and password.

Step 3: Appear for LUMET 2022

LUMET will be conducted in offline mode. Candidates will be tested based on their performance in Communication Ability, Aptitude & Reasoning, General Awareness, and Quantitative Aptitude. There will be negative marking for wrong answers.

Step 4: Check LUMET Result 2022

LUMET 2022 result will be released online and candidates can check their scorecards by visiting the official website of Lucknow University. The results can be accessed by entering the login ID and password.

 Step 5: Personal Interview

Candidates who have appeared in the entrance test have to appear for the interview to be eligible for the final merit. The final selection of candidates shall be done collectively on the basis of the scores obtained in the entrance test and the performance in the Personal Interview.

Step 6: Merit List announcement

An overall combined merit list of all candidates who have applied and appeared for the personal interview would be available in the concerned Departments and on the University website.

Step 7: Personal Interview

Candidates who get shortlisted for admission to the MBA courses offered by the University need to attend the Personal Interview round. The candidates are required to be present in person with the required documents for the counselling round. This year however, the Personal Interview round is expected to be conducted online due to COVID-19 pandemic.
