NTA holds the responsibility to conduct examination in multiple domain. The examinations are conducted by NTA every year to admit the candidates for higher education. To apply for the examinations conducted by NTA, candidates are required to fill the application form released by NTA from time to time. NTA is short form of National Testing Agency. It is focused on conducting entrance examinations for admission/fellowship in higher educational institutions. NTA is a registered society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It conducts the following examination

NTA 2022: Eligibility Criteria

Take a brief look at the eligibility criteria for exams conducted by NTA:

JEE Main

  • There is no age limit for aspirants seeking to appear for JEE Main
  • Only those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Examination or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2019 or 2020 will be eligible to appear for JEE Main 2022
  • Candidates must have taken at least five subjects in class 12th/qualifying examination in order to be eligible for writing JEE Main 2022 (Paper 1) which includes: Language, Physics, Mathematics, any one of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject) and any other subject.

NEET UG

  • Aspirants must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete the required age on or before Dec 31 of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.
  • The number of attempts which an aspirant can avail will be limited to 3 (three) uniformly to all the candidates. Appearance in NEET-2022 will be counted as first attempt.

DU JAT

  • Aspirants who have passed their senior secondary from CBSE or any other recognised board
  • Aspirants who have appeared in their final exams and their results are awaited can also apply for DU JAT
  • Candidates must have secured 60% (55% for SC/ST/CW/PwD and 54% for OBC (Non-Creamy) categories) in class 12 examination.
  • The aggregate should be based on the marks in four papers – English, Mathematics and any other two subjects provided by the Delhi University
  • Candidates must have passed in all the four subjects (English, Mathematics and any other two subjects provided by the Delhi University)
  • Those belonging to OBC-non creamy layer/SC/ST/PwD/CW categories should carry a category certificate at the time of admission

DUET

  • BTech courses - Candidates must have passed Class 12 with 60% marks in aggregate in four subjects which must include Mathematics as compulsory subject.
  • BA Hons Humanities and Social Sciences - Candidates must have secured at least 60% marks in four subjects in Class 12.
  • BA Hons Multimedia and Mass Communication - Candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent examination with 75% marks in four subjects. They must have secured 85% in English. Candidates can include Mass Media Studies as an academic subject among best four subjects.

Three or five year LLB with 50% for general, 45% for OBC and 40% for SC/ST

MCA

Bachelor degree with at least one paper in Mathematical Science. The qualifying mark is 60%

MCom

 Must have completed graduation in Commerce. The qualifying mark is 50% for general, 45% for OBC and 40% for SC/ST

LLB

Graduation with 50% marks for general, 45% marks for OBC and 40% marks for SC/ST

MEd

Graduated in BEd,  BABEd, BElEd or DElEd with 50% marks

GPAT

  • Aspirants interested in appearing for GPAT 2022 must be an Indian citizen.
  • Aspirants interested in appearing for GPAT 2022 must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry students) or equivalent from a recognised University.

CMAT

  • CMAT 2022 aspirant must have completed Graduation in any discipline or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Final year Graduation students (10+2+3) are also eligible to apply for CMAT, provided their results are declared before commencement of admission for 2022.

UGC NET

  • Aspirants must have secured at least 55% marks in their Master’s degree exams (in streams such as Humanities, Social Science, Electronic Science, Computer Science & Applications, etc) from a UGC recognised college/ university.

NCHMCT JEE

  • The upper age limit for candidates from general category is 22 years as on July 1, 2022. Candidates born on or after July 1, 1999 are eligible to apply for NCHMCT JEE 2022.
  • Candidates should have completed their 10+2 level from a recognised Central/ State Board
  • Candidates who are appearing for their 10+2 or equivalent exam in the year 2022 are also eligible to appear for NCHMCT JEE 2022 on provisional basis.

NTA 2021: Admission Process

Check the step by step process to apply for NTA examinations below.

Step 1: Fill Application Form

Candidates can fill the application forms for the exams conducted by NTA – JEE Main, NEET, GPAT, CMAT and UGC NET - in online mode on the official website. After filling the form, candidates also need to pay the application fee for the respective exams. The application fee from exam to exam.

Step 2: Download Admit Card

Once the application form is successfully submitted and fee is paid, candidates can download the admit card for their respective admit cards in online mode from the official website of the agency. Candidates can download their admit card by using their application number and date of birth/ password.

Step 3: Appear for exams conducted by NTA

Next, candidates need to appear for their respective exams conducted by NTA exam at the allotted test centre. The paper pattern varies depending on the exam a candidate is appearing for.   

Step 4: Check exam result declared by NTA

Once the exam is successfully conducted, NTA will release results for different exams on its official website. Candidates can check result for their respective exam by using their roll number and date of birth. The results will contain details such as a candidate’s name, exam qualifying status, marks secured, ranks etc.

Note: Given above is generic process for exams conducted by NTA. The process may have some additional steps such as counselling and interview depending on the exam a candidate is appearing for.
