PTU BArch - PTU BArch Admissions

PTU BArch admissions will be announced by I.K. Gujaral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. Candidates can check all the PTU BArch admissions 2022 important dates as per their qualifications.

PTU BArch Admission is conducted by I K Gujral Punjab Technical University(IKGPTU) through a centralised counselling process. Earlier known as Punjab Technical University, the university does not conduct any entrance exam for admissions to the BArch programmes offered by the participating universities - Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana and Maharaja Ranjit Singh State Technical University, Bathinda. Admissions are based on NATA/Paper-2 JEE Main scores and ranks and a candidate's performance in Class XII. The authority is conducting PTU BArch admissions through NATA/Paper-2 JEE Main and qualifying exam in online mode. Candidates have to appear in the PTU BArch admission counselling as per the scheduled dates.

Below is the eligibility criteria for PTU BArch admissions prescribed by the authority:

Nationality:

• No candidate shall be admitted to Architecture Course unless he/she has passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also at least 50% marks in aggregate of 10+2 level examination from a board recognized or established by central/state government through legislation or passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
• All the admissions will be done on the basis of NATA examination conducted by the Council of Architecture and marks secured in the qualifying examination is 50:50
• Candidate must be a citizen of India
• Compulsory subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

• Register from the official website from https://ptu.ac.in/ and pay the application fees
• In this step, fill all the required details in the application form and pay the colleges
• Before final submission of application check all the details before
• Candidates have to report to all the allotted choices along with the document verification

1. Seat Allotment Letter (when the seat is allotted through the centralized counselling process)

Punjab BArch admission merit list will be prepared as follows :

• The candidates who have scored ranks in aptitude test in Architecture conducted by Council of Architecture (NATA)
• Those who have scored ranks in aptitude test conducted by the National Testing Authority (NTA) JEE Paper-II (Arch) followed by
• Those who have cleared any other Aptitude test conducted on the directions of State Govt. (Ref. Section 4.3 of CoA regulations 1983 which authorize an institution to conduct such test).
• Vacant seats (if any) may be filled on the basis of inter-se-merit of Qualifying Examination mentioned above on the directions of Government /Courts

Step 1: Application fee payment and registration

Students can pay the application fee online as well as offline. After that, they need to register online for counselling process with details like Name, DOB, Email id, Mobile number etc. After registering, aspirants will receive an OTP which needs to submitted online. They would also receive a confirmation message for the fee payment on their mobile numbers and registered email id.

• PTU BArch Application Fee: Rs. 2,000
• Online Mode: Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking
• Offline Mode: Cash payment using E-slip at HDFC, IDBI, AXIS and State Bank of Patiala (SBOP) banks

Note: In case of online payment of application fees, note down the transaction ID. In case of offline payment, please get the slip signed by the bank authorities and mention the journal number on the slip along with the payment date.

Step 2: Filling details and choice filling

Aspirants will be required to log in by entering the fee slip number and the password. Aspirants applying through NATA or 10+2 need to enter the required details. Once they log in, they need to enter details like - State of Eligibility(Punjab -85% Quota or other states -15% Quota), gender, personal details, academic details, NATA score/10+2 score, college and course preference etc.

Step 3: PTU BArch Application Form Submission

Before submitting the application form, students must check all the filled-in details carefully. Once entered, students will not be able to modify the same. Aspirants should also take a print out of the form.

• Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme is applicable under 1st Year & 2nd Year of BArch. & Pharmacy Courses only
• Punjab Agricultural University is participating in Centralized Online Counselling for B.Arch. (Agri.) & B.Arch. (ME) 1st Year course on NATA Basis only (without Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme)
• Punjab Agricultural University will remain closed on Saturday & Sunday.

Note 4: Confirmed Seat can be withdrawn within 7 days from the last date of reporting of last round of counselling for the respective course

• There will be only one round of counselling for admission
• 1st-year course on the basis of inter-se-merit of 10+2 or qualifying exam
• The vacant seats, after exhausting seats through JEE (Main) 2022 Paper 2 Rank, shall be allotted vide this round
• This schedule is applicable for IKGPTU & MRSPTU only (NOT for PAU)
• The confirmed seat can be withdrawn within 7 days of the last date of reporting
