RULET - Rajasthan University Law Entrance Test

RULET 2022: The University of Rajasthan will release the RULET application form and details in the first week of September 2022. RULET 2022 will be held in the first week of October 2022 in offline mode across various test centres in Jaipur. The candidates qualifying RULET 2022 have to then appear in personal interviews and group discussions. RULET is Rajasthan University Law Entrance Test. It is held in offline mode across various test centres in Jaipur only. The entrance test is conducted by Rajasthan University for admission in the BA LLB (Hons) course offered at University 5 year Law college. The entrance test is for 300 marks and has MCQ type questions from the English language, Legal Reasoning, Current Affairs and General Knowledge, and Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. The candidates who pass in RULET 2022, are then called for PI and GD. Based on the marks of the candidates in RULET, GD and PI the final admission list is prepared.

Rajasthan University announces the dates for RULET events like application process, admit card release, exam date, answer key release, result, GD/PI schedule, etc. Check the table below for the RULET 2022 dates.

The application form of RULET 2022 is released online only. Candidates have to complete the entire application process in the following steps:

• Register: During the registration, the candidate will be required to upload their photograph, signature and left-hand thumb impression.
• Pay the application fee: After successful registration, the candidate is required to submit the requisite entrance fee online through the UPI /payment gateway of ICICI Bank.
• Print: Take the print of the invoice and the complete application form for the purpose of counselling and their own reference. The applicants are not required to deposit the hard copy of the online application form.

RULET 2022 application fee: The application fee is INR 2000 for all candidates.

To be able to apply for RULET, candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria is as follows:

Qualification: Candidates passed or appearing in the qualifying examination of Class 12 or equivalent from Rajasthan Board or any other state or national board of education. 

Marks in qualifying exam: Candidates should have secured 50% marks in Class 12th if they are resident of Rajasthan and have passed the examination from the state education board. If belonging to the SC/ST category of the state, then the minimum qualifying marks are 45%. If candidates are from any other state, then they should have obtained at least 60% marks in the Class 12th examination to be eligible for admission.

Age limit: There is no upper age or lower age limit criteria for admission to five-year integrated law courses are per Bar Council of India (BCI) norms.

The questions in RULET 2022 are framed from the RULET syllabus prescribed by the University of Rajasthan. The syllabus of RULET 2022 is as follows:

English language: Reading Comprehension  Grammar: Tenses, Phrasal Verbs and Idioms, Co-ordination & Subordination, Articles and Determiners, Active & Passive Voice, Direct and Indirect Speech, Antonyms and synonyms, Modals expressing various concepts (Obligation, Request, Permission, Prohibition, Intention, Condition, Probability, Possibility, Purpose, Reason, Companions, Contrast).

Legal Reasoning: Latin maxims, Legal words, Indian Constitution and constitutional development, Basic study of Law.

Current Affairs and General Knowledge: Current events of national and international importance,  Arts and culture of Rajasthan,  Indian history,  Science and Technology & Social Science,  Historical events of continuing significance.

Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning: Apply various 10th standard mathematical operations on such information, including from areas such as ratios and proportions, basic algebra, Profit and loss, time and work, average, speed and distance, ratio and proportion.

Logical reasoning: Alphanumeric Series, Reasoning Analogies, Blood Relations, Coding-Decoding, Odd One Out, Picture Series and Sequences, Pattern Series and Sequences, Seating Arrangements, Statement and Assumptions, Syllogism.

Here are a few tips to prepare for RULET exam 2022:

Reading skills - You should focus on improving speed in reading and understanding and for this, they should read newspapers, books, as well as blogs. 

Take help from books - There are plenty of books by recommended authors that will help you learn important tips and tricks to score well in the exam as well as understand difficult concepts from the syllabus.

Practice mock tests - It is advised that to prepare and get an idea of the real-time exam, you should refer the previous years' papers for RULET as well as there are plenty of mock tests available online that are similar to the law entrance exam. Practice the papers as much as possible to score well.

Revision notes - During the exam preparation you will be occupied with a number of things, therefore, it would be better to keep making notes. It will be helpful for the GK section as well as the Legal Reasoning section. 

RULET admit card is issued online to the candidates who register for the exam y the deadline. The candidates have to download the admit card online only from the official website. No admit card is sent via post or mail to the candidates. Candidates can download the admit card using either RULET 2022 application form number or with general details or with mobile number.

No candidate is allowed inside the exam hall without a printed copy of the issued RULET admit card 2022. The admit card bears the candidates' details, exam details, and centre name and address.

RULET 2022 answer key is uploaded to the official website after the exam is over. The answer key is uploaded in PDF format. It bears the correct answers to all questions asked in the exam for all sets of question papers. Candidates can crosscheck their answers marked in the exam with that provided in the key.

The RULET 2022 answer key is made available for challenge. The objection form must be submitted by the deadline to challenge the key. Objections regarding the answer key must reach the Convener, RULET – 2022, in the University Five Year Law College, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur.

The result of RULET is uploaded to the official website. Candidates can check the result by logging in using their RULET roll number, mother’s name, and date of birth. Candidates who qualify RULET have to then appear for PI and GD as per the schedule.  The final seat allotment will be based on the merit list of RULET based on the scores obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam and personal interview.

RULET 2022 merit list : UNIRAJ publishes the merit list for each category as well as a counselling schedule on the basis of which candidates are given admission in their respective courses offered at different colleges. The merit list is prepared based on the marks of the candidates in RULET 2022, GD and PI. The RULET 2022 merit list contains the following details:

• Admission dates and details.
• name of the candidates
• Roll number of the candidates
• Father's name
• Marks
• Rank

In case more than two candidates secure the same rank in the merit list then the university considers candidates securing higher marks in class 12th to resolve ties. 

The University of Rajasthan (UNIRAJ) conducts the counselling of Rajasthan University Law Entrance Test (RULET) 2022. The counselling of RULET 2022 is offline and is based on the merit list entirely which the university prepares on the basis of entrance tests and personal interview scores. Candidates from their respective categories have to appear for counselling of RULET 2022 as per the date and timings. If candidates fail to visit the counselling venue as per the schedule then no second chance is given to them.

Moreover, candidates should carry the required documents including, the application form, scorecard of RULET 2022 and academic documents. All the documents should be in original as well as photocopies. Candidates appearing for RULET 2022 counselling should also carry the admission fees as well as Rs 100 as the admission form fee with them.

RULET 2022 Dates: Rajasthan University will announce the dates for the Rajasthan University Law Entrance Test (RULET) with the release of the RULET 2022 notification.
