SLS PDPU Entrance - SLS, PDPU Entrance Test

Application process for the SLS, PDPU entrance exam and admission to 2022-23 batch will start soon. The application process is online and the forms will be available on the institute website. The application fee is INR 1,200. The entrance exam will be a test of English, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge and Essay Writing.

SLS, PDPU entrance test is a university level exam conducted by School Of Liberal Studies, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Raysan for admission to its undergraduate programmes. The entrance exam is a gateway for admission to Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons), Bachelor of Arts (Hons), Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) and Bachelor of Science (Hons) programmes offered by the Gujarat-based varsity. SLS, PDPU entrance test is conducted in two stages - a written test followed by Online Submission of Statement Of Purpose, Creative Writing and Personal Interview.

Following are the undergraduate courses offered by School of Liberal Studies, PDPU:

1. BA (Hons) in Economics, English, Governance & Public Administration, Psychology, Political Science - International Relations, Mass Communication
2. BBA (Hons) in Marketing/Human Resource Management/Finance
3. BCom (Hons) in Finance & Accounting, Banking & Insurance, Marketing & Management, Entrepreneurship & International Trade
4. BSc (Hons) in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics

SLS, PDPU entrance test aspirants must ensure that they fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

• For BA (Hons)/BBA (Hons.), candidate should have passed class 12 standard examination from a recognized board/University or equivalent from any discipline.
• BCom aspirant should have passed class 12 standard examination from commerce stream or have studied accounting and/or commerce related subjects in class 12 standard.
• BSc aspirant should have passed class 12 standard examination from science or with minimum of any two of the following subjects-Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
• Candidates who have passed final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defense Academy.

SLS, PDPU Entrance Test 2022 Selection Process

Step 1: Application Process

Aspirants are required to register and fill the SLS PDPU Entrance Test application form available on the official website of School of Liberal Arts. The registration process begins in December every year. Candidates will be required to pay INR 1,200 as Application fees. The payment could be made via following mode:

Step 2: Download SLS, PDPU Entrance Test 2022Admit Card

Candidates who have successfully completed the online application process will be able to download their SLS PDPU Entrance Test 2022 admit cards. Admit card is a mandatory document that needs to be carried to the examination centre.

Step 3: Appear for SLS, PDPU Entrance Test 2022

SLS, PDPU Entrance Test 2022 will tentatively be conducted by the last week of May, 2022. The written test will have two components: Objective type questions and essay writing test. The SLS, PDPU Entrance Test 2022 question paper will carry 100 MCQs of 90 minutes duration. This will be followed by the Essay Writing Test of 30 minutes duration. This MCQ paper and Essay Writing Test will carry 50 and 25 marks respectively.

Step 4: Personal Interview (PI)

The PI round also consists of 25 marks. Candidates are evaluated on the basis of their communication skills, approach, attitude and co-achievements in co-curricular and sports activities. Both written test and interview are usually conducted on the same day. The varsity will notify in advance if the date of the interview is changed.

Step 5: Check SLS, PDPU Entrance Test 2022 Result

On the basis of candidate’s performance in the written test and interview, the varsity will release SLS PDPU Entrance Test 2022 result and merit list on its official website. If the seats remain vacant, an operating waiting list will be released by second week of June.

A total of 460 seats are available for the undergraduate programme at School of Liberal Arts. 50 per cent of seats shall be earmarked for girls. Further, 22.5 per cent seats have been reserved for SC/ST candidates whereas 3 per cent of the seats will be reserved for physically challenged candidates. 15 per cent seats of the total intake of the school are reserved for NRI-sponsored category

Before leaving for the exam, candidates should be mindful of the following points:

1. Candidates should ensure that they reach their respective exam centres at least an hour before the reporting time.
2. Candidate should carry the admit card along with the Copy of acknowledgment e-mail sent to them.
3. Carry Ball Point Pen, HB Pencils, Eraser, Sharpener to the examination centre
4. Do not carry an electronic time inside the examination hall
5. If the test city is new to you, it is advisable that the candidate should visit the exam venue a day before the exam.
