TSICET - Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test

TSICET or Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test acts as the gateway to MBA and MCA admission in Universities/institutes situated in Telangana. Kakatiya University, Warangal, on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education, conducts the TSICET exam every year. Last year, more than 54,000 candidates took the state-level entrance test for MBA/MCA admissions. The number of test-takers is likely to increase in the current session, i.e. TSICET 2022. TSICET is a computer-based exam, conducted for a duration of two and a half-hour in as many as 14 cities across Telangana.

To apply for the state level MBA entrance exam, candidates need to fulfil the TSICET eligibility criteria. Space below mentions the eligibility conditions to appear for the exam:

1. Candidates should be graduates in any discipline with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate (45 per cent for reserved category candidates)

TSICET is a speed-based test. Test takers need to answer as many as 200 questions in 150 minutes. Each question carries one mark with no negative marking for incorrect responses. To prepare well for the test, prepare a study routine, buy the best books for TSICET preparation and aim to cover topics by focusing on the underlying concepts. All the topics have difficult standards of graduation level; therefore, most applicants are already familiar with. Candidates must schedule topics in the personalised study plan by prioritising them based on their strengths and weaknesses. Create a study plan by following the steps mentioned below:

1. Allot at least six months to cover the TSICET syllabus
2. Self-analyse reparation through the practice of TSICET sample papers
3. While reading topics included in the TSICET syllabus, create small notes and revise them from time to time

TSICET 2022 admit card will be released in online mode at icet.tsche.ac.in. Candidates need to log in with their registration number, date of birth and hall ticket number of the qualifying exam to download the TSICET 2022 admit card issued against their name. TSICET 2022 admit card is a mandatory document for all test takers. Without the admit card, no candidate will be allowed to appear in the exam. The TS ICET hall ticket hosts the exam details, and some personal details that are verified at the exam centre.

After the exam is conducted, TSCHE releases the TS ICET question papers. The question paper of the TS ICET exam is released in PDF format for each set. Candidates can download the question papers and evaluate their performance and predict a raw score before the release of the result. The question paper file, available on the official website can also be referred for preparation in future exam sessions. Besides the help in TS ICET preparation, the TS ICET question papers shall also help during the preparation phase of APICET 2022. 

TSCHE will release the TSICET 2022 answer keys along with the response sheets within a week of the conduct of the exam. Initially, the provisional answer key is released for all sets. Candidates can raise objections against the provisional answer keys. Subject experts will review the objections raised by the candidate, and draft a final answer key if required. The result is prepared based on the answers mentioned in the final answer key of TS ICET 2022. 

TSICET 2022 results will be announced online at the official website (icet.tsche.ac.in). Candidates can check TSICET 2022 results using the login credentials including hall ticket number, registration number and date of birth. The results are announced in the form of rank cards. To get calls from the participating colleges for the counselling round, candidates need to secure the qualifying percentage. Candidates who belong to unreserved categories need to secure 25 per cent to qualify the exam. Reserved categories do not have any minimum qualifying score.

The Department of Technical Education, TSCHE will conduct TSICET 2022 counselling online. Qualifying candidates will receive a call for TSICET 2022 counselling as per their rank on the merit list. The counselling process includes steps such as document verification, option entry, seat allotment, payment of fees and self-reporting. Seat allotment to candidates is based on merit, category, gender, the local area and special reservation criteria. Candidates who will attend the first phase of TSICET 2022 counselling will be eligible for the second round as well. With the announcement of the seat allotment result, candidates can download the seat allotment letter and complete the remaining admission formalities.

The deadlines for application form submission with late fee payment differ based on the exam date. This year, there are three registration deadlines with late fee payment. TSCHE provides a window for form correction. The window is typically available for five days. Candidates can edit the details filled in the TS ICET form using the form correction window. However, all details furnished in the TS ICET application form cannot be modified; therefore, candidates must not fill out the form in haste to avoid any kind of errors. TSICET 2022 admit card will be released on the official website of TSICET on July 18. Candidates need to enter their login credentials to download the admit card. Candidates who would qualify for the exam will be called for the counselling round which will be conducted in October. Qualified candidates need to appear for TSICET counselling 2022 in order to secure admission to MBA/MCA programmes in colleges across Telangana.
