TS PECET is a physical education common entrance test which is conducted by Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda on behalf of Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE). Candidates seeking admission into two years BPEd and DPEd programmes in the state of Telangana can participate in the examination. TS PECET is divided into two parts which are – Physical Efficiency Test and the Skill Test in Game. The entrance exam is only for Telangana state residents.

Candidates need to meet TSPECET 2022 eligibility criteria in order to apply for the test. In order to be eligible to apply for TS PECET exam, candidates need to be Indian Nationals. Apart from this, “Candidates should belong to the state of Telangana only. The candidates should satisfy local/non-local status requirements as laid down in the Telangana State Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) order, 1974 as subsequently amended”, informs the official website of TE PECET 2022.
TS PECET 2022 eligibility criteria also state that candidates can apply for the common entrance exam for BPEd course if they have appeared for third-year degree final examination or secured three years degree recognised by any university in Telangana or any other university recognised as equivalent. Candidates need to submit the pass certificate at the time of counselling.
Age Limit: The candidate should have completed 19 years of age on 01/07/2022.
The in-service Physical Education Teachers (PETs) applying for admission into BPEd Course do not need to appear for any entrance exam conducted by TSPECET Convener. Such candidates need to apply directly to the Director of School Education, Hyderabad through their respective DEOs through a proper channel as per their notification.
Note: Graduates who have obtained their degree under distance mode from Deemed to be Universities and Private Universities do not meet TS PECET eligibility criteria unless such courses have received the approval of the joint action committee of UGC and Distance Education Council and AICTE.
TS PECET 2022 Admission ProcessTSPECET admission process includes the following steps:
Step 1: Application Fee Payment
The candidates applying for the TS PECET 2022 entrance exam will have to first pay the application form fee before applying online. Candidates will have to visit the official website of the exam. From there, the aspirant will have to click on ‘Application Fee payment’ in the Application section. After clicking on the ‘application fee payment’, the candidate will be directed to a new web page. The candidate will have to fill in all the details in the respective fields and click on ‘Proceed to Payment’.
The application fee payment can be done through net banking/debit card/credit card. Candidates will then be notified that the ‘transaction is successful’. From there on, aspirants can proceed to fill in the application form.
Step 2: Fill TS PECET application form
Once the formalities of the application fee payment are completed, candidates need to fill their TSPECET 2022 application form through online mode only. Aspirants need to duly fill and submit their application form for TS PECET. On filling in all the details and submitting the application form, applicants are advised to take a print out of their forms, which will be required for future purposes.
Step 3: Download TSPECET 2022 Admit Card
The TS PECET admit card will be released on the official wesbite of the exam. Candidates can download the TSPECET 2022 admit card from the official website of the exam. Candidates are advised to check all the details and in case of any disparity, aspirants are advised to contact the varsity.
Step 4: Give TS PECET 2022
The TS PECET entrance exam schedule has been released. The exam will comprise two parts which are – Physical Efficiency Test and the Skill Test in Game. The maximum number of marks that candidates can secure in TSPECET is 500 marks.
Step 5: Check TS PECET result
TS PECET 2022 result will be released on the official website of the Telangana State Physical Education Common Entrance Test after a week of the exam.
Step 6: Appear for Counselling round
The TS PECET 2022 counselling will be conducted online one week after the results are announced. Thus, the counselling process for TS PECET exam is a web-based counselling process. Counselling dates for TSPECET exam will be announced in all leading newspapers as well as the official website of the exam. Candidates are informed that individual call letters would not be sent to them and so they need to view the official website as well as newspapers on a regular basis.
